July 16, 2006, 1:27 p.m.I'm so pleased that Newt would like to call this "World War III" primarily for marketing and advertising purposes so Republicans can be successful this fall.
There are so many things wrong with politics in this country now that I don't know where to start.

July 16, 2006, 1:27 p.m.Hurray for Newt. For Once I agree with a Republican. World war three is simply an all out war of good vs. Evil. The time for all diplomacy has ended, should have ended long ago. Whatever price we pay now to erradicate all terrorist organizations and the governments which support them will be well worth it to insure a peaceful coexistant world for the future. Isreal is leading the way, and we as Americans and lovers of peace and freedomn should follow suit with an unbounded effort against Iran and North Korea and all agencies of evil and terror.

July 16, 2006, 1:35 p.m.What a revelation! WWIII. I heard nothing but joy this morning at revival service, that Armegeddon has finally started. Way to go, ending society as we know it, while owing everyone else money. Hopefully our debtors aren't born-again.

July 16, 2006, 1:43 p.m.THE BIG LIE IS BACK. Hitler did it, Reagan, Nixon and Georgre W did it. Now Newt Gingrich is doning it. Repeat something over and over and over again and then the nonthinkers accept it. Say anythig to obtain power and keep it. Now that the Republicans are going to be kicked out of office, the Newts of this country will say anything to stay in power.

July 16, 2006, 1:56 p.m.WWIII or just playing the 'Fear Factor'? I don't know but I do know that what is currently happening in the middle east can get even more serious and fast.

July 16, 2006, 1:57 p.m.Does anybody ever question of the resources of America to sustain an all out invasion of the Middle East and control such a vast mountainous arid region and populations totaling in the hundreds of millions.
If you check out the stats most of the American soldiers that are being killed are by cheap IED's
AN initial invasion would seem relatively simple.
Holding garrison states afterwards is where the real challenges arise. I often wonder if these wise tacticians ever think past the next day given a broad conflict will sap the resources of the nation for a couple decades.
Unfortunately this will end up as nothing but the demise of American influence in the world and make it a minor player.
Remember the twin towers were brought down by a handful of box cutters and a handful of fanatics that put the value of their own personnel principles above their lives.
A broad conflict would be a great breeding ground for more of the same.

July 16, 2006, 2:07 p.m.WW3? We need to protect America's Interest? There was joy at revival that armegedeon is finally here? and end to society as we know it?
WHATS WRONG WITH ALL YOU PEOPLE?ARE YOU ALL INSANE?
What interests are ours in someone else's land?Someone wrote Israel is leading the charge toward's peace...I am amazed at how IGNORRANT American's have actually become..
Our interests are america and the american people.
No israel, not the middle east, not democracy in syria.
Newt didnt help america when he was in congress and he aint helping now. And you religious (mainly CHRISTIANS) are outta touch with reality and the concept of peace, love and humanity.
Republicans are modern day fascists and america has become an IMPERIAL force in the world causing instability and suffering through arrognace language like, "Protecting America's Interest". I learned in school that america was the beacon of hope. A source of Liberty, Freedom and Peace..
I was lied to. And you people make me sick.

July 16, 2006, 2:12 p.m.Religions are supposed to be full of 'love' and 'righteousness', and assorted '****** and vingegar' such as that. 99.9% of the problems in the world has been, is, and always will be religion. I say, "F(BLEEP)ck religion!

July 16, 2006, 2:14 p.m.I would like to say how funny Americans get when we do so much ass f**king around the world 24/7 and a few things happen to us over a 10 year period and then you have paranoid rep. that are stating that WW3 has started it seems a bit ludicris. I am suprised more s*** hasn't happend to us! Besides Kim Jong's missles couldn't hit the ocean if they were being launched from a beach... on second though WW3 would be a good way to erase our debt. Hmmm?

July 16, 2006, 2:26 p.m.The only thing this administration is protecting is their bank balances.
This fall they'll go down for murder and treason.
The Scholars for 9/11 truth have asked the 9/11 commission to debate them on some of the issues they have so far the commision has refused to answer any questiions raised by the movement.
So this fall the government will be petitioned for redress of grievances by the American people. They will answer or the people will drag them from office.
War crimes are also being looked at by other countries for the use of banned weapons, DU is a WMD by the world standards.

July 16, 2006, 2:32 p.m.Yeah the system's been double-posting a lot.
WWIII? Yeah right. This is just another flare-up in a volitile region that will last for awhile, then both sides will stop fighting and come to the peace table. Happened before, will happen again.
This is just usual Republican fear-mongering, trying to make people afraid of brown people so they can win votes with their base of evangelical loonies, the bigots, racists, and dumb NASCAR fans.
There's a reason why he's called "newt" because his brain is small lol.

July 16, 2006, 2:37 p.m.Why are any of you and the press listening to Newt Gingrich???
Was he not required to resign from Congress and to step down as Speaker because he couldn't tell the truth? Did he not commit adultry? Did he not have sex in his Capital Hill Office with an intern who he later married? Did he not break the rules of the House, which he helped to write, about outside income.
This man you believe about WW3. Give me a break and gert him off the air.

July 16, 2006, 2:39 p.m.I haven't read all of Mr. Gingerich's remarks so there may be more to his statement than the headline.
Those of you that are so anti-American, I wish you'd go live in another country, just for 6 months. You'd be so glad to come back here and maybe you'd figure out that the freedom, choices, opportunities that we have are worth protecting. Some of the remarks are so hysterical, equating Hitler with any American leader is absurd. Blaming Bill Clintong for 9/11, I can see that, but actually, the blame falls on the people for voting for that little fellow from Texas, Ross Perot. Things were pretty quiet in those days and Perot and Clinton offered pie in the sky and revenge against anyone who'd been more successful (he was talking to you, Joe Average and you bought it). So all of us suffered with an extremely incompetent, cocaine tooting president who paid so little attention when the World Trade Center was bombed the first time, terrorists believed used vulnerable. And we were.
