Aug. 5, 2006, 11:13 p.m.I can't say I'm surprised. Most Western media sources have an abnormal fixation with portraying Israel as a monster. This reminds me alot of the Palestinian situation, as covered in the clip "Pallywood":

Aug. 6, 2006, 12:53 a.m.For sure, that's the way to tickle people's "conscience" so as to prevent them from thinking and finding the real causes of problems.

Aug. 6, 2006, 3:06 a.m.Hey - Don't be so hard on the poor Hezbollah folks - Remember we have been told by a very high source that Islam is a peaceful religion - Therefore it's impossible to believe they could do anything to justify the anger that Israel is now demonstrating - Please have sympathy and send some humanitarian supplies to them soon - But take the time to have the Quran printed on the TP so they will have something to read when they are on the throne of Allah

Aug. 6, 2006, 4:54 a.m.So you have finally found a solution to relieve your consciousness:
“Qana massacre never took place, it was only manipulations!!â€
Persons from UN, Human Rights Watch and all other humanitarian organizations went there and testified that evidently Israel was targeting innocent civilians as there were no missiles, rockets or any Hezbollah signs whatsoever in the region.
Is it that much difficult for you to admit that you are supporting Israel in its mad offensive against civilians, while the WHOLE WORLD is condemning these barbarian acts?
How inhuman and disgusting you are.
-

Aug. 6, 2006, 5:24 a.m.^ Purely Hilarious!!!! The "WHOLE WORLD?" Hardly. A more accurate version of this statement would be: "the entire anti semitic world is condemning these acts."
The UN was there and testified that Israel was targeting innocent civilians? That just tells the THINKING man that most likely Israel was NOT targeting civilians. People with any semblance of an open mind see the UN for the corrupt, self serving, factually challenged liars that they are.
Wisdom is eluding you, EasternWisdom3

gprime, i m living in lebanon, it s not about the smoke issue! just count the bridges destroyed, the civilians killed and the number of wounds and u ll be now surprised!
the best propaganda for the us government would be Cnn or some other tv channels that covers the erality of israel and for sure make the lebanese people as terrorist!
plz if you re living in lebanon, u ll see the disaster israel is doing to us! especially for young children!
what a shame!

Aug. 6, 2006, 8:32 a.m.hanim: I'm sure this issue is many-sided, but as someone who has been witness to hundreds of photos from the area, I can say that things are quite gruesome without any need for photoshopping or doctoring. I hope that photo journalists don't resort to tweaking photos when the atrocities are already disgusting on both sides.

Aug. 6, 2006, 9:05 a.m.The Jerusalem Post says Qana may have been totally staged.
It is also a story about bloggers.

Aug. 6, 2006, 10:07 a.m.Shure there is a propaganda campaign going on.
One side embroiders the truth and spins it. The other side makes up stuff and flat out lies.

Aug. 6, 2006, 10:28 a.m.hanim: Yes, the killing of civilians in Lebanon AND Israel is a great tragedy. Tell us, how long were teh Syrians occupying your country? Tell us who was responsible for killing that Lebanese government official? Tell us why Hezbollah was making incursions across the border inciting Israel? I feel terrible for every child who is killed or made motehrless by that war, whether that child is Christian, Jewish, Druze, Alawi, Circassian, Shiia, or Sunni. The problem is that Hezbollah does not care about human life. I have heard individuals from Hezbollah say so. Hanim, if you are a person who thinks life is sacred, you can stop thsi tragedy by rising up against Hezbollah and supporting a strong peaceful Lebanon.

Aug. 6, 2006, 10:32 a.m.It's a blow to Reuters photos. My best guess as to how the photo slipped past editorial review is that the reviewer only looked at the thumbnail of the image rather than a larger resolution. Just another photo of burning Beirut. It'll be interesting to see what Reuters has to say since they've killed the photo and acknowledged the digital enhancement.

Aug. 6, 2006, 11:40 a.m.Its really no surprise anymore to see the constant pro-Arab, anti-Israel media coverage in the world.
Several years back there was a story how Israel purposely bombed a building filled with civilians in the Palestinian territories that killed over 500 people. The U.N and all the human rights groups called it one of the worst acts in history only to discover...oops, only a dozen were killed and most were militants plotting to strike on Israel.
You never hear about the dead or suffering on the Israeli side, but thats not a surprise either. The Arabs call this war a "holocaust" for the Lebanese. Just their way of insulting Jewish people once again. Its just shameful and the anti-semitism that rund rampant in the media is a disgrace.

Aug. 6, 2006, 11:47 a.m.If the photo is indeed a fake, the photographer should be fired and Reuters should improve its editorial procedures.
However, like many Westerners I'm completely neutral and have no sympathy for either 'side' in this conflict. Of course one sympathises with absolutely all the innocent civilians injured and killed, but as far as I'm concerned both sides are terrorists and have committed unforgivable atrocities – they are as bad as each other and neither side can legitimately take the moral high ground.

Aug. 6, 2006, 11:51 a.m.Just more of the same covert war strategy ... this time in the form of planted fake photos to make it appear that western Israeli (1948) or the prophesied Belial of the Holy Scriptures (called the Antichrist by early Christian) is being picked on. Just how bloody are the real photos of innocent indigenous peoples of the Middle east that are being hidden from the public? As I've commented before, there has been no proof that western Isreali isn't the one firing all those missles on itself as Hezbollah (like Al-Qaeda) is another western covert organization being used to justify contiuned western european aggression against the Shemitic peoples of the Middle east. Cosmetically altered Scandinavian whites faking it as members of Hezbolla and Al-Qaeda pretending to fight against their own people of the west is just disguised genocide -- the same strategy whites and western europeans used against our indigneous Native American ancestors as the French, Spanish and English at war.

Aug. 6, 2006, 12:56 p.m.M.simon
the fact that you een believe that crap is mind blowing. it is propaganda to the extreme. people are always saying there are hezbollah weapons hidden with civilians and such yet there is never even any proof. CNN as well as the U.N. has said tht in all the spots israel has bombes saying tht hezbollah weapons are there there is never any sharpenal or debri of weapons. no remains no metal shards nothing. kinda makes you think doesnt it. whats even funnier is how hours after israel says they have destroyed 80% of hezbollahs arsenal hezbollah fired over 230 rockets one that hit the fathest notrh then any other rocket yet. israel is founded of lies and they will countinue to do so untill they are brought to justice
-

Hmmmm
Aug. 6, 2006, 1:16 p.m.Finalstrike, can you please produce the CNN & U.N. reports that prove no shrapnel or metal was found in Israel. While you’re at it, if you will also forward the report with amounts (by piece, weight, etc.) of the same found in Lebanon I’d really appreciate it.
The last thing you should do is use CNN as your source for news. As for the U.N., Koffi Anan is in bed with Lebanon and hates Israel. Everyone knows that.

Aug. 6, 2006, 1:39 p.m.Why yes, it makes perfect sense for Israel to bomb itself so that they can take over a country they abandoned several years ago.
Since they want so badly to occupy Lebanon, it makes perfect sense for them to have voluntarily left.
Ts-rose- thanks for the great laugh.
