Politics – Must-see video. Bush having a hard time connecting Iraq to 'war on terror'
theusman: Who made Bush ruler of the world? By what authority does he mandate the right to dictate to the UN? If the Un had a problem with saddam, it was up to the un to handle it, not bush.His invasion cannot be justified by evidence after the fact. There were no wmd, no mobile chemical factories, no imminent threat, so he lied. He claimed faulty intel. From whom? His cia and fbi informed him that iraq had none of these things, so who told him otherwise and had enough clout to over rule the fbi and cia? If saddam had dismantled and moved anything, we would have satelite photos by the hundreds to prove it, but we don't. Eventually everyone is going to have to admit, that he just lied, period. And marines died because he lied. marines are dying now because he's stupid and doesn't care. When is enough, enough?
The elite of American political life will, I understand be at ground zero of the WTC on the morrow, Sept. 11th. No one has ever mentioned openly that 9/11 is the same numbers and date as 911 the police national emergency network telephone number. Why, because they lying about the disasters on the date because the NJ/NYC police and FBI are covering up for them acting on TV. They are doing the same for television personalities. Why, because they are to small, cheap and petty. That ain't worth dying for in a skyscraper tragedy. The current President of the USA or any President of the USA is a grunt/flunky for big media interest. Hillary Clinton's popularity with the media is an abomination.. The American politician is a ****** who wants to glorify himself/herself with book contracts for stuff that no one is going to read. Me, why, because I do not believe my wife died naturally. I am being harassed around the clock and have been for decades. Want my wife exhumed. Want a mausoleum for her.
Mencken stated something like you can never go broke underestimating the stupidity of an American.
The presentations airing on CBS&ABC this moment will deliberately leave out facts to exclude the media's and telephone companies responsibilities in the WTC&Pentagon disasters. Radical presentations like ThePowerHour.com's were tailored made to take the burden off the media and telephone companies' shoulders who are being covered up for by the NJ/NYc police/FBI on a 24/7/12/365 basis.ThePowerHour alleges/suggests that a military strike took out the WTC and the Pentagon. They made this presentation to cover up television programming. They did it because the top executives of the NYC media and the Bell System were/are supposed to be arrested. They did it cover up for the their fellow media entertainers. ThePowerHour.com never mentioned a single reference to 9/11 being the same numbers and the date as 911 the police emergency network telephone number.
They are all liars
The media is as Orwellian as any one, any government. The media in the USA is a liar. The media in NYC, NY has Orwellian programming themselves. The media is primarily TV and radio. They are using the police and FBI to cover up for them and the Ol' Bell System because both are fakes/farces. Me, this writer is a victim of FBI/police surveillance and abuse of power because through twists of fate I am the sometimes subject of TV programming and the telephone company's dialogues. My wife died account of this spectacle known by just about the entire United Nations,NYC, NY. This compact by the media, phone comp's. and law agreed upon or not was a definite factor in the World Trade Center disaster of September 11th, 2001, referred to as 9/11. The fact of the matter is that 9/11 is 911 the police emergency telephone network number.
It is not just a coincidence that the WTC & Pentagon were attacked on that day. They are to small here. The news needs to sit in front a government panel.

THEUSMAN:
Just before Bush sent in the troops, the UN inspectors were making their best progress, with the most cooperation from Iraq, they had seen in years. If they had been allowed to finish there work, they would have been able to confirm that no WMD existed without the loss of so many lives, but then again, attacking Iraq had nothing to do with WMD, or 911, but agenda's long set.....
America has to have a governemnt who will stand up to the news media. The news media has a lengthy history of unfair labor practices, exploiting children, unfair union tactics. The entertainment industry's cheats on its taxes making the industry viable. The Prez or the next Prez is going to have to do something about free speech practiced in the USA. The media itself considers themselves as beyond criticism/reproach. They have to be held accountable like any other business. They have to abide by the laws of the land. They buy off Presidents/Senators to skirt this type of thing. A book contract is a bribe. TV and ol' Bell system should be made to take part responsiblility for the deaths at the WTC&Pentagon. They are not sacred cows but cunning machinators, promoted the WTC/Pentagon carnage. They talk of the video. Well, show business is on video tape/DVD lying and promoted paranoia/WTC attacks. They would do anything to hold their job even if a 100K were killed at the WTC./Pentgaon.
He's having a hard time connecting 9/11 to the Arabs.
All the evidence points to 9/11 being a false flag operation of the Israelis to frame Arabs and get America to attack the Mideast world:-

* Dancing Israelis,
* Mossad moving trucks, bomb residues in trucks,
* Israeli captains shooting pilots,
* miraculously resurrected Arab hijackers,
* videos of a dead OBL confessing to 9/11
* missing tapes
* Israeli-run computers of NORAD malfunctioning
* fake OBL videotapes
and many more ....

Can you spell Government COVER UP?
1. The reason for the Iraq War?
To grab Iraq's oil for Israel:-

* 2.5 billion embassy to be built
* war to cost 3 trillion
* 10 bases to be built in west Iraq, US will be in Iraq for another 20 years
* Israel-Iraq Oil Pipeline being increased to 400% of its capacity

The people of America need to know when did Bush find out about the Israeli connection, and when did he start the cover up?
The country is in serious trouble when the commander-in-chief covers up for the terrorist black flag operations committed by another country.
Why would the President cover up for Israel?
Israel and 9/11.
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/israel_9-11_index.html
When did he know and how did he know it?
Kanye West was only half right when he said Bush doesn't care about black people - Bush doesn't care about American people, period. His allegiance is with the people of the Star of David.
regime change was a stated no no policy by Bush before this opportunity arose.
Shalako - What a ridiculous suggestion. Everyone who doesn't agree with you and all right wingers should leave the country? I think not. You and others like you have forgot about free speech. It is our right to dissent if we so choose. I think we will all stick around and try to change things for the better.
sorry, we don't want a one party system.
cezFine - The two most intelligent lines on this post. wonder if Shalako read them. Understood them?
It's a hard job, but someone has to do it.
What makes it even harder is when a senate committee releases a report like this:
http://news.netscape.com/story/2006/09/11/saddam-and-al-qaeda-are-enemies-not-collaborators
shalako: "to all the liberals out there that just cant seem to stop complaining..if you think this country is so terrible and is really going to hell in a handbasket then why dont you move to iraq or afghanistan and see how much better life is over there for you."
To all the conservatives out there that just cant seem to realize how bad the war is going....... if you think bush is doing such a great job spreading democracy, then why don't you move to iraq and afghanistna and see how much things have improved over there since the wars started.
The only way Bush had the power to invade Iraq was because the house approved unlimited measures to prevent terrorism on the U.S..The thing is Saddam(as sick and evil as he is)didn't order the attacks on 9/11.,Bin Laden did.While he started the war in Afghanistan(justified)he quickly moved on to Iraq(unjustified).If Bush had committed the same efforts to fighting and defeating the Taliban maybe we would be trying Bin Laden in the courts for the murders of the victims in NYC,Washington and PA.,or applauding his demise.This was the purpose on these enhanced powers.Now after totally abusing this power,Iraqi's are no better off, America is not any safer for the efforts in Iraq,and the human costs for a false agenda keeps rising with no end in sight.Had Bush stayed the original course maybe there would be fewer attacks on civilians due to fewer Taliban powerplayers and Taliban puppets.Further sanctions on Saddam could have stifled him until CORRECT information was gathered.All for oil?Maybe
I love this, OBL was responsible for 9/11 and the Taliban was complicit in aiding him. GW attacks Afganistan but less than whole heartedly. GW then puts the full might of the US Military into an attack on Iraq which has had no hand in 9/11 what so ever. OBL is still alive and the Taliban is in resurgency. Now all you Neocons out there tell me how this can be construed as sucessfully fighting terrorists. No wonder GW has a hard time connecting Iraq and terrorism, unless he lies, he can't.
Maybe it is so difficult to make a linkage because there is none and never has been any. Remember you gotta do what you gotta do and right now we are ready to have an election so do what it takes to again scare the population into electing you and your cohorts again. Lets hope it doesn't work this time and we get a congress that truly believes, as they did in past generations, that once elected politics are out and the good of the people and upholding our form of government is what counts.
([David Halko] approved by entire U.S.congress...)At a time of high emotions and a "with us or against us" attitude, who wanted to appear unpatriotic?With the election then closing in politics plays heavy and you can bet many who supported the Iraqi invasion did so reluctantly and now wish they hadn't.Besides being told of WMD (which we now know was a lie)and to vote against the President when he's preaching Homeland Security would be political suicide.
There is no connection to Iraq and the war on terror, even Bush himself said he can't connect the dots. I can be a good American without supporting a president who invades soverign countries for no reason at all. Say Saddam, say terrorists were being funded by Iraqis, say terrorist cells were hiding out in Iraq, say what you will, terrorists are everywhere, should we just blow up the whole world?
Lots of theories about why Bush chose to invade, some laughable, some make a little sense. But in the end, even his staunchest supporters have to have questions about why his administration didn't appear to be able to guess at the outcome - instability and chaos. I'm sure that Sadam was contributing money to destabilize the US - We've been doing it to the Castro regime half a century. Unfortunately, that's how the world works these days. Our "allies" have played both sides of the fence since before our Revolutionary War. The question is - Do you feel any safer now because of the invasion? My personal feeling is no. It has increased the animosity against the US, our abilities to talk with key players in that part of the world has decreased (maybe more from a change in policy that the war), and our presence in Iraq has provided a rallying point for young Muslims around the world. Remembers the "Jesus Freak" movement along with the 60's? Same thing.
"War was an inevitable step considering containment failed"
What failed? Did he invade or gas anybody else that we didn't hear about. We contained the USSR for over 50 years - had some stare-downs (Cuba) and regional conflicts (remember when wwe actually supported the Taliban when they were fighting the Soviets?) - but prevented a World War. I simply don't understand what triggered to invasion.
"The world knows there were WMD in Iraq because they kept on turning up"
Where? What do you know that everybody else doesn't. This seems to be exectly the Bush administration tactic - Say it often and loudly enough and someone will believe it.
DavidHalko -
"In other words, diplomacy & negotiation between governments is impossible when terrorists do not report under a chain of command in the government"
EXACTLY - So why did we invade Iraq? It was a governement led by brutal dictator (not new in this world) but "terrorist" groups are destabilizing by nature, and Sadam did not want a destabilizing faction growing in his secular - not Islamic fundamentalist - country. Al Qaeda was not running camps in Iraq, at least not with his Sadam's blessing. If I am wrong, show me some proof - not blogs, not unsubstantiated statements from the Bush adminstration.
-- DavidHalko
I'm not sure that we would agree on the definition of "successful containment." Corruption at the highest levels of government is nothing unique to Iraq. Leaders, elected and self-appointed all over the world line their pockets. To me, containment means to contain his ability to carry out any plans he might have had to expand his geographic boundaries or to influence other countries against their will in a meaningful way. With the USSR we did it with a nuclear standoff. With Sadam, we did it with trade embargos on our part (not participated in by everybody and that's why they weren't as effective) and with strictly enforced military boundaries (which did work). As far as WMD, while very dangerous, the ones they found were pre-Gulf War and deteriorating. He didn't use them - just like the USSR never used their nuclear arsenal. I think it is very naive to think that our global "friends" don't do bad things.
Halko:: You are a man on a mission to do anything to justify this mess we are in right now, fact is you seem more driven to prove it than our president himself. Doesn't that ever seem a little warped to you? I like a lot of the conservatives on here, but some cons are so driven to prove Bush right, when Bush can't even prove himself right!! There's something seriously wrong with this picture!!
Davidhalko: Just a comment on your'found wmd's'. Yes, they found about 500 WMD's. What was found were about 500 shells containing or capable of containing gas or biologicals. These were not all found in one place. they were found in basemaents, closets, garages and other places throughout Iraq. The chemicals found in them dated back to the Iran/Iraq war. The scientists examining these chemicals stated that they had degraded to the point to be no more potent than pepper spray. The Army said that appeared to be forgotten weapons.
When you think that Hezbolah had over 13,000 missles to send to Israel, 500 impotent shells seems less that threatening. Besides, don't you think that if the US found a true cache of WMD's Bush would be on the air claiming how right he was. But wait, he didn't do that. What's the old saying? Fool me once shame on you fool me twice and my name is George Bush.

If you can remember back when the Gulf War ended and the UN made up resolutions for Sadam to come clean and turn over all WMT , he stalled the world for years. When the line was drawn in the sand and Bush took office his administration was the only force pushing Sadam to live up to the resolution of the UN. To this point the UN was a joke to Sadam, and the Radicals in the mid east under bin laden were developing a cause. When Bush pushed to go in to Iraq , the UN stalled, and stalled, not to have anything to do with UN 's Koffianna's brother was making money off of illegal oil sales with Sadam . It took so long to get that resolution resolved that Sadam could have dismantled every palace he owned and Rosie O'donnell's a.. and moved all of it and Rosie to another country and buried it , by the time the US and Allies were able to get in and verify the WMT.
Now everyone is on this liar thing against Bush for getting into Iraq . I tell you if we were not in Iraq it would be next door .
We were CERTAIN Saddam had WMDs because we, and the Europeans, sold them to him, and he DID use them, against the Iranians, and against his own people. That's why, when the weapons inspectors came up empty-handed, we (Democrats, as well as Republicans) could not believe them. Even after Saddam sent the reams of documents to Washington on the disposition of his weapons, we could not trust him. As he told Dan Rather, there was nothing he could do to stop the US attack. The war was a foregone conclusion

The Iraqis were our proxy in their war against Iran. Iran stood alone. The Russians, who were still also allied with Iraq, did not help Iran. So, you can bet the Iranians are involved in Iraq: they have a huge stake in the outcome of their close neighbor. Who are we to say they should not be involved? Their memory of their long and costly war with Iraq in still a fresh wound. But they want to be friends? Well, we got rid of Saddam for them and we got rid of the Taleban for them in Afghanistan, with the cooperation of their allies, the Northern Alliance. They intercept AlQaeda on their way to Iraq from Pakistan and Afghanistan and they offer rebuilding aid to Iraq (which we have begged the Europeans to do). Maybe we are just in competition with them for the same ends.
