Sept. 11, 2006, 9:05 a.m.The elite of American political life will, I understand be at ground zero of the WTC, Sept. 11th. No one has ever mentioned openly that 9/11 is the same numbers and date as 911 the police national emergency network telephone number. Why? Because they are lying about the disasters on the date because the NJ/NYC police and FBI are covering up for them acting out on TV. They are doing the same for television personalities. Why, because they are to small, cheap and petty. That ain't worth dying for in a skyscraper inferno. The current President of the USA or any President of the USA is a grunt/flunky/stooge for big media interest. Hillary Clinton's popularity with the media is an abomination.. The American politician is a ****** who wants to glorify himself/herself with book contracts for stuff that no one is going to read. Me, why, because I do not believe my wife died naturally. I am being harassed around the clock and have been for decades at a cost of thousands of dollars a day.

Sept. 11, 2006, 9:08 a.m.Mencken stated something like you can never go broke underestimating the stupidity of an American.
The presentations aired on CBS&ABC last nightt will deliberately leave out facts to exclude the media's and telephone companies responsibilities in the WTC&Pentagon disasters. Radical presentations like ThePowerHour.com's were tailored made to take the burden off the media and telephone companies' shoulders who are being covered for by the NJ/NY police/FBI on a 24/7/12/365 basis. ThePowerHour alleges/suggests that a USA military strike took out the WTC and the Pentagon. They made this presentation to cover up television programming. They did it because the top executives of the NYC media and the Bell System were/are supposed to be arrested. They did it cover up for the their fellow media entertainers. ThePowerHour.com never mentioned a single reference to 9/11 being the same numbers and the date as 911 the police emergency network telephone number.
They are liars,3K dead.

Sept. 11, 2006, 9:18 a.m.dracula7734: While I respect your right to question the validity of the attacks on September 11th, I am going to ask you to not spam the comments by cutting and pasting huge fields of text to incite others to argue. This is not a joyous anniversary for me, my friends, and many other people in the U.S. and abroad. Please respect this. Thank you.

Sept. 11, 2006, 9:57 a.m.MP,
Kudos, this is not a day to contemplate conspiracy theories. More than three thousand people lost their lives on this day five years ago as the result of hatred directed against our country. We could look at the root causes of that hatred but perhaps today is not the day. Better that it is a day of remembrance for those who lost their lives. Those who left behind loved ones who will never make any sense of it all. Their loved ones felled in a battle they never waged.
Whether you believe in a Muslim God, Christian God, or some other divine entity, the one God above us cannot look upon the actions of that day with any approval.

Sept. 11, 2006, 9:59 a.m.On that day I was going to work with my son when I heard two bus drivers say something about a plane going into a building. I did not know what they were talking about until I go to work and found out what just happen that morning of that day we will never forget. It was hard watching it on tv at work when there was nothing we all could do but pray for those who died. I feel that those who did this should go after the one who they hated, not go after those who did nothing. I feel this war is not over and I wish it was. Enough is enough. It is time to stop this war and stop the killing. I live in Canada and I feel for my family and those around me. STOP THIS WAR. OR WE WILL NOT HAVE A FUTURE FOR OUR KIDS.

Sept. 11, 2006, 10:02 a.m.I was working nights, so I was in bed trying to get some sleep in the Dallas, TX area when my oldest son called from Orlando, FL area to tell me what was happening.
His initial words were that "we are under attack"!
At first I thought he was pulling my leg. I turned the TV on just in time to see the frist WTC building come down!
From 90 thru 94 I went through the Path station in the basement of the WTC twice a day.
I still have trouble seeing the NY sky line without the twin towers!
May God be with the families & friends of those who died and those who have been affected by 9-11!
God bless you and encourage you, so that you can pass the encouragement to others in their time of need!
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have Everlasting Life".

Sept. 11, 2006, 10:05 a.m.I agree that this is a day to remember the innocents that were murdered that fateful day of 9/11. This is NOT the time or place(thread) for spewing hate, twisted politics, conspiracy theories or Bush bashing. Everyone please respect those who died on this day 5 years ago.

Sept. 11, 2006, 10:34 a.m.Regardless of the politics and slant - the fact of the matter is, 2973 lives are gone. Any moment where human loss occurs, politics need to be put aside and look at the bottom line.
The loss of lives was a horrific event indeed. For those that still want to spew propaganda and spin politics: place yourself for one minute at WTC and imagine having your freedoms invaded, your liberties being challenged, and your life on the line.
Thanks Fabienne for the pinning and the straightforward reply in the commentary.

Sept. 11, 2006, 10:41 a.m.Have we, as a nation, become obsessed with 9/11 and terrorism? 180,000 Muslims have died, in our war on terrorism. Perhaps it is time to move on.

Sept. 11, 2006, 10:56 a.m.What happened on 9/11 was very bad, and innocent people died. Nothing will change that. It's history now. But every year when I see the memorial on TV for it, I can't help think that this day is evolving into a possible national holiday. It's being whipped to death and could even end up a weird form of religion. It's sad what happened, yes! But god, for those obsessing over it so badly, please, get over yourselves.

Sept. 11, 2006, 11 a.m.For once I would love it if people would not spout off the 100 million different sets of numbers of Muslims dying. Those same muslims would be dead now if we were not there.
But we lost many people who were not part of the U.S. We are talking about all kinds of people of different nationalities who died this day 5 years ago. With along of our Citizens who died this day.
I for one will never forget this day. This is my new memorial day for me. Not just for the workers that were in the building. But for the numbers that I will never, NEVER, forget. 343, too many good firemen lost on this day. Hero's in everyones eyes. 164 of them were not even on duty that day. But they still fought the traffic leaving Manhattan to get to the buildings. Flight 93, several people who hitched up their belts and took the fight to them and saved a good number of lives. This is what I will remember, this day for them. I will remember, the innocent workers. I will remember.

Sept. 11, 2006, 11:01 a.m.On 911 i was attending my highschool. I was in my homeroom class when somebody told me the towers were hit a little while ago. Outside of the window( i was on the 3rd floor) i saw smoke pouring. Classmates friends and people i dont know were literally on the floors of the hallway hysterical crying wondering if there families made it out or not. This is one day i will never forget. May the people who died rest in peace.

Sept. 11, 2006, 11:09 a.m.Not a national holiday -- more like Pearl Harbor day. I don't think there's anyway you could consider this any sort of "holiday."

Sept. 11, 2006, 11:30 a.m.I don't have the words to express how sad 9/11 made me and how mad it made me to think that something like this could and did happen. I kept my kids home and watched as the death toll kept going up. As for those of you that say because we honor this day we are "obsessing" you could not be more wrong. We are reminding our selvs that we as Americans are not above it. For years we thought "it could never happen to us" well it did happen us and we had better remember it because if we become complacent again it will happen again. Those people lost their lives that day and the USA woke up. I pray that the people who lost their lives that day did not die in vain. That people should remember that event everyday not just once a year. May they all Rest in Peace and may we as a people of thhis Great Country come together and honnor our lost and be much stronger for it.

and just how many of those muslims were killed by muslims?
if we are going to throw around idiotic numbers, how about the 300,000 that were slaughtered by muslims before 'our war on terror'?
Do you think this is just our war? Do you believe that if we move on, that these animals will just crawl back into the cesspools that spawned them.
time to move on to what?
How dare you, on this of all days, suggest that we move on.
How dare you for associating yourself with 'us as a nation'.
you are a disgrace.

Remember 9/11, but don't worship it!

Sept. 11, 2006, 12:22 p.m.It never ceases to amaze me how shallow some people can really be. This is a day when we as a country need to come together in unity and protect our country so that things like this don't happen again. I dread this day more than anything. This was the day I almost became a widow and my children orphaned by their father. I don't think that we will be able to forget about the many lives that were lost on this day for quite some time, however, life goes on and so do we. It's ok to miss and mourn the loss of your loved ones, but please do it without the hate. If we continue to hate what kind of message are we sending to our children. They are our future and I for one don't want my children to carry forth my legacy and everything I stood for with hate and vengance.

Right. We'll just stop and let the terrorists have their way so you'll feel better.
No, I don't think so.
