Oct. 20, 2006, 12:59 p.m.This is an awesome story from someone who should know, since he has given as much as ANY living American!
"...don't be shocked when our grandkids bury much of this generation as traitors to the nation, to the world and to humanity. Most likely, they will come to know that "somehow" was nurtured by fear, insecurity and indifference, leaving the country vulnerable to unchecked, unchallenged parasites."

Oct. 21, 2006, 12:09 p.m.A member, american 1634, has chided me in a private message for stating that Kevin "... has given as much as ANY living American!"
Here is my response:
Perhaps you are right!
Cindy Sheehan has lost more - Losing a child is worse than a sibling for most!
Surviving victims of Bush's criminal war who lost a loved one and came home severely injured or are suffering from PTSD may have given more.
Beyond these examples, I can think of where you could be coming from, he served, he lost a loved one. That puts him pretty high on the list!

Oct. 21, 2006, 10:46 a.m.Jordan, what fantasy world do you live in? Oh, I'm sorry that you relate to what Dubya said: "That's not the America I know!" At least Dubya's comment recognizes two different Americas.

Oct. 25, 2006, 12:34 a.m.Jordan, I hope one day you'll recognize the childish stupidity in YOUR words. Even a senior Bush diplomat recently acknowledged the "arrogance and stupidity" of the administration he belongs to. There were NO WMD stockpiles. There was NO connection between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. And we have NOT freed the Iraqi people. All of the reason to go to war in Iraq have been at best wishfull thinking and at worst outright lies. Wake up and smell the depleted uranium. The American people have been had.

Oct. 20, 2006, 1:13 p.m.Wow, what a powerful letter.
It must be so hard to come back. Two very different worlds. I appreciate the need for a military, our strong military is part of what makes us the nation we are.
I really like how the author speaks of "giving up his voice". I understand the methodology. A soldier with dissent is an innefective soldier.
It must take a really strong person to successfully make the transition back to being an effective citizen.

Oct. 20, 2006, 1:32 p.m.Kevin Tillman has exposed for all to see the horrible wounds we have received by our own countrymen. A sad commentary to the current state of affairs. Hopefully the day after Pat's birthday some progress can be made to bring these traitors to justice.

Oct. 20, 2006, 2:26 p.m.This was a solid aricle detailing where we have gone wrong from one of the ones who paid the price. Who will listen? Slowly, slowly, the nation is realizing that they were misled by those who knew better. Deliberately misled, so Bush could have his revenge.

mamasan

Oct. 21, 2006, 8:42 a.m.Mamasan, sorry to assume, but i'm guessing you are not very religious, but the Bible says, "John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Religious or not, you can't really argue with that. The flip side would be to have a friend die so u don't have to. Show some respect and descency. You should be ashamed.
