    He raises an interesting issue. During the Nixon Administration, Nixon's tapes were subpoenaed. This went all the way to the Supreme Court who upheld the subpoena. While there is a separation of powers issue, here, I wonder whether a subpoena of a sitting Vice President would be upheld.
