Nov. 9, 2006, 1:06 p.m.Get the hell out, this Bush's coco had been impersonating the legendary football head coach for so long, he should have been prosecuted as such, most Bush's supporters thought that he coached a football team name the Redskin in DC, get the hell out now, you crook...dumbo Bush and paranoid Cheney next...give America back to it's people....now we all know that you're a fake G.Allen....just like Mark Foley and Ted Haggard....no mercy for these crooks....
Even if they confessted to their crimes, say sorry and we let them go, we could have done the same thing for Ted Bundy the serial killer.

Nov. 9, 2006, 12:49 p.m.It would seem that all the macaca's came out to vote against Allen.
Webb carried the cities and Allen carried the rednecks.
Can't we all just get along.

Nov. 9, 2006, 12:56 p.m.I suppose this is to be expected from the cut-and-run republicans. First Rumsfeld, now Allen.

Nov. 9, 2006, 12:56 p.m.Good to hear that. He should not have dragged this decision this far. He should've conceded about 24 hours ago. Anyway whatever happened had happened. It is over, the Democrats have both Senate and the Congress. Now it is time to move on with our lives.

Nov. 9, 2006, 3:31 p.m.Hate to disagree, but as close as it was, he deserves the chance. I mean 0.38% difference on over 2.3m votes is outrageous. BUT, having said that....
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:03 p.m.I'd like to point out that this is the first election in 6 years where the "losers" aren't whining about recounts and "stolen votes".
I'm actually pleased with how the Republicans (overall) handled their defeat.

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:18 p.m.The new speaker said she would conduct investigations into the Rep power-mongering that has been going on. This is exactly what is needed. If there is a power grab going on here with the intent of dragging the US into a fascist regime, then it needs to be nipped in the bud. This is a cancer that must be exterminated now.

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:26 p.m.I don't believe it is healthy for this counrty to have one party control, the white house, senate, and house at the same time. But these three entities controled by democrats should be enought to frighten anyone just like the mention of a president named Hilary should be enough to frighten the day lights out of any good decent moral, law abiding citizen.

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:36 p.m.Now is the time to start the impeachment process, Mrs. Pelosi, please don't shake Bush's hands, they're full of blood and illegal money and his breath is intoxicated with alcohoh...this dumbo prez can't even speak English anymore...
Some crooks from Bush's side are scare now, and they should be..they look at Ted Haggard and Mark Foley...they'd see it's coming.

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:33 p.m.We have too much on our plate already, and dont need the added distraction of impeachment. I say we begrudgingly work with bushie and make these next 2 years count.

crosshairs1
Nov. 9, 2006, 1:39 p.m.Let's see what the investigations turn up. The waters are too muddy for impeachment and at this point in time may prove to be a waste of time and effort. No one said that criminal investigations are off the table. This will take time. The truth will rise to the top because no one in this country can keep their mouth shut, trust me.

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:37 p.m.I wonder what you think about Pelosi's statement that they are not seeking to impeach Bush.
Did they promise you they would?

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:44 p.m.I recall them stating the opposite. They won't impeach. Honestly, I'd rather have it that way.

Nov. 9, 2006, 1:53 p.m.You're probably right. But the democrats were able to win despite the republican election fraud you speak of. That must mean it was even more of a landslide than it appears to be.
-

stephen-johnson
Nov. 9, 2006, 2:24 p.m.The "Republican election fraud" will defeat you once Pelosi & Company show their true colors.
Will social conservatives like Webb, Casey and Tester be forced to toe the liberal line in DC while being themselves at home? How did that work for Tom Daschle?

Nov. 9, 2006, 2:03 p.m.There was a Letter to the Editor in our local paper this morning about having problems with a touch electronic machine.
Seems every time she touched Webb's name to place her vote, it switched to Allen. She finally got it right by just touching the screen with a fingernail. Can't help but wonder how many times this happened & wasn't corrected before the vote was counted!!

Nov. 9, 2006, 2:28 p.m.That's just the "hanging chad" issue updated for the new millenium.
I'd first blame the voters for not knowing how to use a touchscreen.
