Well, ain't that just peachy. The Republicans give themselves a Boehner. Better than giving it to a page, I guess.

Looks like the Republican leadership has come up with a solution to their recent record as architects of the most Do Nothing Congress in history. The solution? Change Nothing.

It's amazing how entrenched in corruption the Repugnants have become and it's apparent that they are unable to clean up their act.

Here is another news story on the new minority leader Boehner: "After Ney Admits To Crimes, Boehner Refuses To Call For His Resignation" This is what this story was about 60 days ago: "Yesterday on Fox News Sunday, House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) was asked whether Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH) should step down from Congress. Ney pled guilty last week to federal corruption charges, admitting to prosecutors that "he had accepted tens of thousands of dollars in illegal favors from Abramoff and from a Syrian businessman nicknamed 'the Fat Man.'"

So many problems and all is forgotten when he is elected. Also forgotten are Lott's problems and he only won by one vote in the Senate to be the minority whip. All news is about the majority party, the Democrates, and problems they may be having with their learership. I guess the desire is to find fault with the winning party. Never mind the problems with the losing party and their leadership.

If Harry Reid broke the rules he needs to go too.

Too many of these guys (on BOTH sides) know exactly how far they can stretch the law and still get away with it.

DeLay is the perfect example except he may finally have gone too far.

Thanks for the link. Strictly apolitcally speaking, the Netscape-published pic of Boehner is definitely skewed.

And if the man is a thug from any angle, then why not publish the well-dressed clean cut photo from the above link? Aren't thugs well dressed?

The plain answer is: this press wants to convey a visceral repulsion to the viewer.

Well, fortunately, the counrty realizes they were tricked by the Democrats. All they wanted was power...their "act" of having integrity is already a joke (aka Harry Reid and John "cut and run" Murtha), their plan for change is to destroy the economy by raising taxes...meanwhile, terrorists and countries like Iran are giving the Democrats the "thumbs up".

...and your still stuck on what the Republicans are doing?

Well, at least your gone in less than 2 years...

"Tricked" by democrats? So now the MAJORITY of americans are too dumb to recognize the difference between the 2 parties?Since you still haven't realized why republicans lost, what makes you so sure that americans will want you in 2 yrs?I think the election proves that americans feel that they were "tricked" by republicans not democrats.

Basically, the Democrats had no issues of their own to run on. Their whole strategy was...bring down the republicans at all costs, even if it means trying to tear the counrty apart.

So, they spent the last three years complaining about a war, and spent all their efforts trying to block anything which would help us against terrorism.

Well, as of this week, 4 out of 5 people (newsweek poll) say the Democrats have no plan concerning Iraq.

Robert Ruebin comes out 5 days after the election and says we absolutely have to raise taxes.

Hillary Clinton comes out and says we're going to have to nationalize health care, even though some of you won't like it.

                                    It's just as we expected...

Let's be honest, at least the Republicans ran on issues. All the Democrats did was run against Bush and the war in Iraq.

"I hear the Dems, Iran, and the Terrorists are going to do a reality show - you know like Wife Swap."

If you don't believe me, google the latest Iran Presidential and al-qaeda statements. In each case, they are glad Democrats have won.

Al-Qaeda said this election (electing democrats) was a step in the right direction.
