When reading this comment thread, it's apparent that you contridict yourself a bunch of times. Not only that, but your hate speech is hardly tolerable.
You don't live in SLC, or you'd know that SLC is about 35-45% mormon. The mayor isn't mormon, and the county tends to vote democrat.
As for your coke comments below "Coke isn't allowed by the church till they bought a coke plant!" Not true. Some people believe caffeine is harmful and violates part of the church's word of wisdom against tobacco, coffee and tea. It's not a mandate that members not drink caffeine, but members are encouraged to be free of addictions.
As for the rest, I won't dignify it with a response. People, read for yourselves, realize that this guy is anti-mormon, and anti-tolerance. Tolerate all religions, work together, not apart.
Thanks for telling me where I dont live.Yes ,SLC has been mostly dem and SLC has had mostly dem Mayors.I disagree about the ratio. And you must know that most non mormons are considered mormon haters by mormons. Then again, non mormons are called gentiles and are considered by the church as evil and should be shunned by mormons. How many times have you read letters to the editor from people moving here and being greeted by mormons, then after it is discovered that they are not mormon, their kids arent allowed to play together and they are ignored by the people who greeted them?Inevitably, there will also be a letter from a mormon saying if you dont like it then leave.
I have lived in Utah for the past 6 years and I do not respect nor do I tolerate Mormonism. Perhaps it is the hubris fraught throughout them that compels them to pass laws that wouldn't affect the Mormon anyway (liquor laws), or perhaps it is the ignorant voting populace that goes republican because the church told them to; or maybe it is the general stupidity of the religion itself. I am sure you are familiar with the BYU professor of PHILOSOPHY who was fired for questioning the churches PHILISOPHICAL position on gay-marriage. Maybe I just find the Mormons insufferable for a combination of reasons. No I don't respect them and no I will not tolerate them.

not a mandate to not drink caffiene? You are absolutely FALSE in that statement!
Actually when I first arrived in UT,in most of the stores you would see a whole section of caffiene free coke and 2 sixpacks of regular.
Of course, caffeine is discouraged, but what exactly is "mormon tea"?
momon tea is just a plant that grows here and is very good. But mormons dont like you to call it mormon tea,it's Brigham tea.
