Dec. 8, 2006, 10:46 p.m.It should be noted this is more a parting shot than anything else and has absolutely no chance of passing.

Dec. 8, 2006, 11:05 p.m.How unfortunate! The one thing Congress doesn't need right now is the Democrat's amateur golden gloves champion, Cynthia McKinney, squaring off to impeach "the Great Decider."
She better shut her mouth and bow out gracefully, before she finds herself in a dark cell in Poland waiting three years for a court date. She's not ready for the heavy weights, that's for sure -- considering her last bout with the security guard.

Dec. 9, 2006, 1 a.m.At the bottom of the article, there is a comment by JRO with Rep. Cynthia McKinney's Statement on "Murtha" War Resolution. A very interesting read and that was written when the death toll for soldiers in Iraq was near 2000.

Dec. 9, 2006, 7:55 a.m.Is that biotch still around? Like me, I'm sure most people are still laughing at her. What an idiot! I'll bet she still can't figure out why her stupid ass was voted out.

Dec. 9, 2006, 10:34 a.m.Infidel: probably says something about unholy war of choice for personal and political profit, imo.
Real conservatives were appalled not at what Clinton did (that was nobody else`s business), but that Ken Starr and the cons publicized it with the worst attempt at character destruction in the history of our nation.
-

cherev
Dec. 9, 2006, 10:47 a.m.Speaking as a real conservative, Clinton has no character to destroy. Ken Starr and the "cons" (whomever they are) were unable to get Clinton on any of the other criminal acts he committed because Hillary was involved and she's the smarter of the pair. Unfortunately, poor Hillary wasn't involved in Clinton's love life or his lying to Congress. So she couldn't help him out with that. It was the lying to Congress that did him in, not Ken Starr or the "cons".
Now, if you have no problem with someone lying to Congress and the American people, I submit that you're not a conservative of any kind.

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:23 p.m."at what Clinton did (that was nobody else`s business),"
Are you refering to his Monica affair? Don't forget, that didn't happen "at home, after hours". He was on duty, in the oval office, representing the nation, with his trousers down 'round his ankles. Can you or I walk in there anytime we want, use the office or any other facilities as we please? Of course not! The only reason Clinton (or Bush, or Reagan, or Kennedy etc) were/are in there, is because the nation voted them in to lead the country and serve the public. They are in there FOR us and BECAUSE of us. So yes, what Clinton "did" in there, is the whole nations business. I know if Bush got caught doing that, you and others would wirte a very different post, tearing a blue strip off him. And so would I. He would deserve it. But Clinton? Being a Democrat shouldn't and doesn't exempt him from that.

Dec. 9, 2006, 10:45 p.m.I never voted for Clinton, but got sick of all the inquiries into his life. It cost the Republicans in the long run. But as for Clinton being elected a third time time, he never did get 50% of the vote. If it hadn't had been for Perot syphoning vote from the first Bush and then Dole, he never would have been President the first time. Go back and check the election numbers.

Dec. 9, 2006, 11:31 a.m.When I first heard this I couldn't stop laughing. Cynthia McKinney is, the laughing-stock that she is, has once again become the but of her own joke. The problem with that is she is trying to make a joke out of George Bush. Now with this bit of nonesense George Bush defeats her again.
I would hate to see the peole in the district that voted for her.

I am sorry you seem to think this snuggling up to a chastised Bush will get him to find that the way forward in Iraq is backward--getting the hell out. That Stupic half Bakered "Study?" Group just tried to find a better way for Bush to prose-cute an ugly war and make it norepalatable for the American people. Silly Democrats jumped in line for the guillotine, to accept Bush's war as their bi-partisan own. What nonsense are you thinking of. There is only one good way out, and that is for the UN to partition Arag into three states under protectorates with the Kurds under Turkey (if they don't want independence), the Sunni Batthist under Syria's Sunni Baathists, and the Shiits under the protection of the Shiits in Iran.

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:14 p.m.Unfortunately the outgoing Repugnant rubberstamp Congress will be replaced by the incoming Democrap rubberstamp Congress. Incoming Speaker Pelosi has repeatedly indicated that the Democraps shall be willful criminal accessories after the fact by ignoring the impeachable abuses of the Dumbya dictatorship.
As for Cynthia McKinney: her cardinal offenses were cleaving to her Constitutional oath of office. Time after time she caught the Dumbya dictatorship in lies and obstruction. She had hearings in the boileroom of the Capitol which exposed the Dumbya dictatorship's criminal negligence and possible criminal complicity in the 9/11 attacks. Except for C-Span there was a deliberate corporate media blackout on those proceedings and the information that came out of them. She repeatedly inquired about the 5 simultaneous wargames - including commercial jet hijacking scenarios - conducted by the gov't on the morning o 9/11 - and was promised but never received answers. cont'd ...

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:23 p.m.To Spadecaller (continued):
The only problem to getting the perfect solution in Iraq is that the Bush/Cheney Maladministration wouldn't go for it. So they must be impeached and removed to get Pelosi appointed to do the right thing and get our troops home, leaving the Mideast more stable than its been for a long time.
We can wait until Bush and Cheney are out of office and Pelosi has replaced Gonzales to demand criminal investigations, indictments and trials for capital treason for their intentionally lisleading the American into a needless war on the basis of a pack of lies.
But we can't wait for Bush and Cheney to be impeached to get out of Iraq with our pants on. While I would much rather see Murtha and the guy who peat him and Pelosi intoduce the resolution, she would be inappropriate since she would have too much to gain. On the other hand, we know Cynthias call will die with this Congress but provide a precdence and inspiration for Kucinich?

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:29 p.m.Go Twistoflex: How timely, just in the timex of time!
To be sung to Paul Simon's tune for his "50 ways to Leave Your Lover"
"It grieves me so to see them in such pain.
I wish there was something we could do
To make them smile again,
And help them in their struggle to be free.
The problem is all inside your heads," I said in glee.
"The answer is easy if you take it logically.
There must be fifty ways to leave Iraqis!
It's really not my habit to intrude.
Furthermore, I hope meaning won't be lost or misconstrued.
But I'll assert myself at the risk of being rude:
There must be fifty ways to leave Iraqis."
Just say: "You're out of your gourd, George.
Make a new plan, man. Just slip from the front, runt.
You don't need to be coy, boy. Just leave Iraqis.
Hop on the plane, Jane. You don't need to discuss much.
Just ship out to sea, Candi, And let them live free.
For there must be fifty ways to leave Iraqis"

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:30 p.m."I'll repeat myself at the risk of being crude:
"Revise your old plan, man. You don't need a new ploy, boy.
Get on the stick, Dick; just let them live free!
You don't need to discuss much. Bug out on a train, Jane,
And let them live free. It grieves us so to see them in such pain.
And there is something we can do to make them smile again.
Make a new plan, man. You don't need a new toy, boy
Just slip out the gorge, George. Just let them live free!
You act like a prick, Dick. You don't need to discuss much
Fly off in a plane, Jane, And let them live free.

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:30 p.m.(cont'd from above) McKinney was also alone in Congress when it came to pursuing answers to the whereabouts of $2.2 trillion (that's correct, TRILLION) that the Pentagon "lost" and is unaccounted for.
Because McKinney was faithful to her oath to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution and because her job required her to be faithful to her constituents and the American People, she was repeatedly and viciously smeared. The GOP controlled Capitol Police targetted her - that's a fact corroborated by insider accounts - to cultivate a scandal for media maggots. The American-Israel Political Action Committee (a foreign agent lobbying group) poured $ millions into silencing and defeating her. Pelosi the poseur denied her seniority when she regained her seat after AIPAC was successful in one bout.
McKinney - though admittedly imperfect - did more to advance responsible representational government than most in her own corrupt monopoly party.

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:39 p.m.Spadecaller, Are you among those Democrats tricked by the crap about seeking nonpartisanship for the good of our country who is assuming the responsibility and guilt and political baggage of this war Duh?bya got us into without anyones help and could get us out with little trouble for us.
Sure we'd have to pay for resettling Shias from Sunni areas and Sunnis from what would be partitioned into Shiit areas, and the UN protectors of these protectorites would have to rebuild them with the oil revenues divied up 1/3 to each area, but it will work so well Iran and Syria will probably very soon totally take over their Protectorates. But that will cause no one any problems.

Dec. 9, 2006, 12:54 p.m.She is a radical Lib and heavily financed by Muslims. So surprise, surprise that she would do something stupid like this. She has been an embarrassment to the Democratic Party with her racist tirades. I really hated to see her defeated, because she was extremely ineffective and always good for a laugh.

Dec. 9, 2006, 5:10 p.m.Yes, she didn't seem like a very effective representative.>>>>>>
Just wondering what led you to that conclusion. Researching her involvement in human rights, holding govt. accountable, Senior rights, port security, and everything in between....I'm just curious how her record would show her as being ineffective to the nations needs. ???

Dec. 9, 2006, 1:05 p.m.The LAST thing this country needs is an impeachment trial. We need to start to work on fixing the imminent problems that threaten us NOW (like Iraq) not waste time on sour-grapes BS that will only make things worse and more polarized.
I commend the Democrats for taking the high road and not doing what the Republicans did with their BS impeachment efforts of President Clinton back in the 90s.
We've got a lot bigger fish to fry, people -- we don't need to get our nation mired in a juvenile political ******ing contest that will benefit no one and solve nothing.

Dec. 9, 2006, 5:17 p.m.The LAST thing this country needs is an impeachment trial.>>>>
The last thing this country needs is to ignore the shenanigans of this administration, because a great deal of what they've done will remain on the 'books' for the next administration to be tempted by. I'm speaking of actions that have been initiated that are in conflict with out Constitution, and that need to be addressed by the Supreme Court. And if investigations find glaring wrong doing, the Congress has no choice but to impeach. It's their JOB to protect and defend the Constitution. If we don't do that now, this won't be last time we're faced with what has transpired in the last six years. Silence is consent.
