This'll be interesting. Cheney'll either outright lie on the stand, as he does daily, or say, "I directed him to reveal classified information that identified an agent working on WMD issues."

I have just finished reading a book written by a guy called Robert Corfe titled 'Freedom From America' and whilst I don't agree with most of the things he says and some of the blanket assumptions he makes, I do agree and already hold opinions that are similar to his i.e. the US is not a true democracy but most Americans think they live in a true and the ultimate democracy, most Americans think they are free but in reality they are just pawns manipulated by their 'corporate' polititians, America was not founded on freedom but in fact was originally settled by people who wanted to segregate themselves apart from others and live within strict religious limitations, most Americans are regarded as being rude, arrogant, ill educated and sadly lacking in understanding of other cultures, customs and ways. Sorry I know these things hurt but I am only telling you what most people worldwide think, they and I may be wrong but this is the perception we have of you. Sad but true.

Who has called him as a witness, the defense or the prosecution?

It woill be interesting to see what he says under oath, and wh he questions will be. I am sure that he will e well coached, one way or the other.

Congress needs more direct overisight into our government's covert services. This should be at the top of the agenda alongside the Iraq war for the newly elected democrats.

Before any money is approved the American people should know what they are doing. Also, they should be bound by all laws and the spirit of the laws as pertains to the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Jeffrey.... I doubt if Cheney will say much of anything, whether that be on the stand or (more likely) on tape. He will, if there actually ever is a trial, either claim the 5th or refuse to answer under advise from his attorney (remember Iran/Contra?), or will claim gov't secrets. ALL of which are legal, and need to be!

I tend to think that the political machine will get to Libby, and convince him to say that he did it and acted alone.

Like it or not.... It is reality, and happens often on both sides of the aisle.

If ever there was a totally worthless piece of dog shiit, this man is it.

He will lie like the sack of shiit that he is, and perhaps he can be nailed for perjury.

This man is the lowest low life to ever hold public office.

What good would any such testimony be. Cheney has impeached his own testimony so often by telling bald faced lies that we all know were lies. And anyone known to be a notorius lier can give no testimony of value that has not already been impeached,

So who on a reasonable jury could ever listen to his lies with a straight face?

This is entertaining. Calling Cheney a liar and etc. All politicians are liars, thats what they are and get paid to do! I don't care, republicans and democrats are all the same. You cannot get a straight answer on anything. So stop your bitching, it does no use, like they care what you have to say!

Joe, I respect your opinion but my experiences support most of what albion says. and why would the press distort or lie about how people in other countries perceive us? For what purpose? We are, unfortunately, seen as arrogant, loud, ignorant, rude and dismissive of other cultures. People like myself and probably you help remove some of the tarnish when we show a different attitude but I have been living out of the country for 5 1/2 years and both places resent many americans. (Not all) And I can tell you I have seen soooo many American travelers that act badly, it makes me sick. I know everybody back home isn't that way but too many travelers are. ciao

It'll be a joke. He'll more that likely testify by video tape without being under oath with no cross examination. If he tells something that turns out to be proven untrue, nothing could be done.

So, the law finally filters its way upward. Its amazing that the same people who preach accountablility to the masses are so surprised when they are called on to do the same.

If nothing happened, why was this man kept in what equates to animal captivity...?

The Judiciary should let the lawsuit go forward...people in power might think a little harder before stripping someones liberties...

How can we trust Dick Cheney on ANY front? Any front at all? And now we are going to be asked to trust his testimony on the Libby/Plame-Wilson case? Hardly.

I'm astonished that the USA was hoodwinked into electing this man to the second highest position in the land, considering that while CEO of Halliburton, he betrayed the American government by violating sanctions against Iran when he condoned the sale of nuclear weapons to Iran through an offshore subsidiary in the Caiman Islands! Yes folks, our VP sold nuclear technology to the enemy!!!!

Halliburton first started doing business in Iran in 1995, while Vice President Cheney was chief executive of the company and violation of U.S. sanctions. The Wall Street Journal reported in 2/01 that Halliburton was working behind an unmarked door on the ninth floor of a new north Tehran tower block and mail sent to the company's offices in Tehran was forwarded to Halliburton's Dallas headquarters.

Sorry this is NOT a news story. There is nothing new here. Just the same old, same old!

Why can't the media do its job and help to stop the Int'l death & destruction caused by the Int'l Terrorists?

If they would 24x7 the Major Muslim cleric's public statements that terrorism is only premeditated murder & are against the Koran and that Int'l Terrorism is NOT a holy war & is against the Koran. Those who follow it are getting a one way ticket to the bad place, not the good place.

If the media did its job; most of the existing Int'l Terrorists would stop & few would join.

It would be the same as Billy Graham & the Pope saying that premeditated murder is wrong, which they have and most Christian do not do it! Those who do are looked down on by the vast majority of Christians!

I think the vast majority of Muslims would be doing the same, if the media did its job!

                                What do you think?

d - I really think you are blaming the wrong people, the media. Those in charge of our country and its policies are to blame for this gross error in judgement. and it has put us financially in a sinkholw and while our President 'thinks' on it, it just keeps getting worse.

Put the responsibility where it belongs.

                                You asked. I answered.
