  It's amazing that 95% of Americans do not want to just haul Bush out of the White House and lynch him on the spot, considering the battering he has taken on a daily basis from the fifth-column, anti-American, leftstream media/entertainment combine.

  We can only be thankful that such a media/entertainment combine did not exist during WW II or we would have lost that war, too.

        Your analogy of the school yard bully is absurd. Who is the bully here? Let's do this by analogy and without the moral judgment it deserves: you put a team of smoke jumpers into a box canyon to put out a lightning ignited blaze. Their hastily planned backfires suddenly climb the walls. The forest to the left and right turns the canyon rim into an inferno. High winds, not a factor on the canyon floor, suddenly cause the fire to crown, leaping vast distances.

        YOU DON'T PUT MORE FIREFIGHTERS INTO THE CANYON! They stay to "win" and they die for sure. Pull them out and find a defensible line elsewhere. Lordylordy indeed. With your kind of reasoning you should be careful about throwing around the term "wacko."

          Except you have NO plan except to take the firefighters out and let the fire burn, killing everyone in its path, including the innocent residents of the canyon. And when you realize it wasn't the residents of the canyon that started the fire in the first place, but their neighbors to the North, a new light , besides the fire comes to play. It's like saying we are having a civil war if its Mexican and Canadians coming into this country to stir up strife. Without the U.S. and U.N. help these folks are simply victims of the bullies that took over the last bully was evicted. I guess you believe we should have left the first bully in place so he could kill hundreds of thousands more of his own people. I guess thinking like that would have left Hitler in power?

            Lordy, you sound like a person who's intentions are good and well meaning, but your understanding of the facts surrounding the situation is weak and this leads you to come to the wrong conclusions. American influence on the rest of the world has been both very good and very bad. Where it's been bad it has done things like put despotic, homicidal (dare I say Hitleresque) men in power, with the full knowledge that these were despotic, homicidal men. (See how Saddam rose to power in the first place.) Saddam would be but one example of this pattern. Yes. Pattern, meaning an action repeated over and over. If meddling in other people's affaire has created the problem, perhaps the solution is to stop meddling.

That's why this administration fires, replaces and ignores everyone (even those on their side, politically speaking) with whom they disagree. You weren't listening before the war and you haven't been listening since you started the war. Also, if all the people who are chirping up in support of the war from the sidelines (but sacrificing NOTHING) were over their fighting it, you're right--the war would be "finished" (and quickly).

        So, Lordy...just how long do we stay in Iraq? Just how much patience are we required to have for this God-awful mess? When will it be OK with you to leave? Should we stay there for the next 5 to 10 years, having our soldiers die for a cause we never should have taken up in the first place? What happened to bin Laden? Will we ever get the persons involved for attacking us on our own soil? Probnably not. And why? Because we pursued someone Shrub saw as an easy target based on unfound intelligence, probably to get even to his fathers failure.

          You need to put enough forces in to finish the job, not just play pattycake with them as we've been doing.

          I think if you think Bin Laden is the only culprit in all of this, you're not seriously looking at the big picture. Thanks to the inactivity what some 25 years ago when we should have let Israel kill Yassar Arafat, you're still knee deep in these terrorists today. They aren't just attacking in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan, but worldwide, Bali, Philipines, Beirut. Sadly enough we're now paying for the failure over 25 years ago. When you have wolves or coyotes attacking the cattle on your pastureland, where you live, just removing yourself won't solve the problem. You have to get rid of the wolves and the coyotes who have forgotten rabbits are their game, not your livestock. It is basically as simple as that.

          If you retreat now, without a solution, a winning solution, your children and grandchildren will still be dealing with it.

      If you swear to protect and defend America, your duty is clear. We must remove the greatest threat to our nation, our liberty and our security. Unfortunately, that means removing our president, vice president, and several members of congress and senate, which is a messy business, but not near as messy as the war our forefathers fought to bring us freedom, and less messy than the war in which we are currently engaged in Iraq.

But some of our congressmen, including our current President, knows who is the greatest threat to this Western nation, and these Muslim terrorists are exactly that. If they'd quit attacking over there, and causing the grief, this country would remove their forces in a heartbeat, within weeks. But this is NOT their agenda. The terrorists agenda is to unsettle this area because we did not put enough force in to hold it until it did settle. We are not dealing with rational human beings, but criminals if you will, willing to blow up innocent women and children. These are not freedom fighters nor a civil war, but Muslim criminals gone amuck. Even if you left, this fight is far from over. I'd rather fight them there than here.

Get them to sell all their private corporate jets, their SUVs, their huge trucks that they really don't need, or the mansion that Al Gore lives in that costs more per month to heat than most folks pay in a year. The pleasure boats on both coasts line up to the pump, and put in 400-900 gallons of fuel at a time, not for business but to take their rich friends on a cruise on the weekends to the Bahamas? GM, Ford, Chrysler, and the foreign automakers aren't helping either. When was the last time you saw any of them try to make a vehicle with better mileage but still have enough performance for utility use? NOT.

        White Paw - I wish it was just the war. What they have done is bigger than the war, they have marginalized our freedoms, they have invaded our private space, and they have diminished the world view of our country.

        They have allowed a company to steal our money then move to the very region of the world they claimed were our enemy. If what they have done is not Treason to the highest standard, then we should just burn the constitution.

          You are absolutely correct. Some people believe that the war is the big picture. Others think it is all about 9-11. Some believe it is a clash of civilizations, or a religious crusade.

          But when all of these factors are taken into context, and together we see a new picture form. We can see a larger geo-political struggle developing. The sort of thing that was written about by Brzezinski in his book "The Grand Chessboard", and later by PNAC.

          In this context, we clearly see that the slagging of Islam, 9-11, the ensuing war on terror and the loss of some of our liberties has all been a part of the plan from the very beginning.

      I agree that we have a responsibility to our Country. Anyone can support or not support a particular President, however when it's realized that we have a Despotic Government, I can only hope that people will understand the difference between loyalty towards Country supersedes support towards a term official who's actions favor a select few.

      Despotic Dick really needs to be removed for the good of the Country and the rest of the world. OH and of course, it goes without saying, Bush also needs to go, in order for this Country to regain itself. It's been beaten from within and we need to wake up to the fact that we're looking at a coup. However, if one tries to regain their Country, there have been laws put in place that can be used against us. Thanks to the PA.Changes in laws are more apt to be used against us and serve to only protect the Despotic ones in the WH.Not to mention all of the illegal spying, wiretapping, and firing of our Judges, corruption, illegal arrests,etc..

His clinic was in Mexico because the AMA would not allow him to experiment here, not even on patients already dying of cancer. He supposedly found a natural cure. Even though he and his family had no history of heart disease, he mysteriously died of a heart attack, and all his research vanished? If your doctor is always honest, why do they wear masks? If they know what they are doing why do they call their office a practice? Practice? On whom?

          Ron Brown died in a PLANE ACCIDENT. Folks at WACO were CRAZY CULTISTS - who essentially killed themselves. Vinve Foster committed suicide. Not sure what guy you are referring to - but he probably died of natural causes.

          Nonetheless - even IF CLINTON WERE PRESONALLY RESPONSIBLE for ALL of these deaths - you can possible stakc that up against 3100 American Soldiers and at least 500,000 Iraqi soldiers and civilians in a war that was willfully waged with False information and innuendo at best!

        And if you think the "liberal media" gave a pass to Clinton, then check out Bill Moyer's documentary on PBS April 25, from 9-10:30pm. The "passes" and missteps accorded to Bush by your "liberal media" leading to the Iraq invasion were nothing short of reprehensible.

              Isn't it a fact that the Bush administration is "invested" in keeping a war machine worth several hundred billion dollars to defense contractors and other Bush cronies cranking at full tilt while our men and women in uniform come home missing limbs or in body bags? Isn't it also a fact that many of those who are coming home missing body parts and maimed for life will never make a fraction of what defense contractors are earning and will have only roach and rodent infested moldy recuperation rooms as a reward for risking their lives for their country?

So either he must be supporting the enemy to make sure they can keep fighting or he's somehow making sure the US military is holding back. But then again, you seem to know more about Bush then most people do, so I should just take your word on it.

                As to your meritless stab at Bush about the "roach and rodent infested moldy recuperation rooms" he said he would investigate it although I'm sure thats not good enough for you. He is not God, he can not know everything about this country.

                  While it would hardly be a stretch to suggest that we're making sure this war goes poorly (after all, we "lost track of" BILLIONS of dollars and caches of weapons and we don't know what the hell we're getting for much of the money we've spent) that isn't what I said. What I said is that keeping the war machine cranking is in Bush's interest. When Bush digs his heels in and adds tens of thousands of troops (when everyone knows this war can't be won militarily) and defense contractors, he and his friends continue to make a fortune off this war. Just sit back. The Democrats will get to the bottom of Chimpstock. I guarantee it.

          Gotta luv the right wing and its look at things. Cant see the forest for the trees it appears. I believe the point of the article is the disaster of this Administrations "plans". I use that term lightly since the only thing this Administration seems to plan regulalry are the Bush vacations.

        I don't think they have enough sense to feel foolish! At least there are a few cons who avoid these articles because they know they don't have an argument, the ones who come here and continuously defend Bush expose their lack of knowledge, period!

        President Clinton lied before a jury and grand jury, not about issues of national defense either, only because he did not want to admit he had had sex in the white house with his cigar in hand.

      The only reason this might be considered Libscape is because there aren't enough comments made by conservatives to balance the remarks made by so-called liberals. Where are these conservatives? Have they given up? Are they afraid? Or could it be there are more people fed up with Shrub's admnistration today than there were in 2000? That's the most logical answer I can come up with.

So why can't you see how much more eggregiously evil/corrupt the Republican party is? I'm surprised you didn't credit Iran Contra to the Dems too. Are you also aware that of the congressmen under actual investigation prior to the last election that 17 of the 20 were Republicans with the only senators being Republicans? And no ethics changes even proposed in Congress by the past Repug Congress as a result of either the Abramoff or Foley scandals - such an evil party!
