I hope this isn't bad news ...
"Campaign officials refused to answer any questions about what the Edwardses learned at the doctor's appointment or how it might affect his candidacy.
The campaign refused to elaborate Wednesday. Family friends said Wednesday night that they didn't know of any new complications to her health.
"Her health has been so good for so long," said Kate Michelman, an Edwards adviser who was planning to work closely with Elizabeth Edwards to appeal to female voters around the country."

I hope the best for him and his family. Having said that I don't think he has a prayer. With his lackluster performance in the last election what does he bring to this election that is new or different?

Show some respect. The man's wife has cancer for God's sake. I don't care what your opinion is of him, you don't rag on a man whose wife has a potentially fatal illness to score cheap political points.

I hope she's ok. I'm not really a fan of Edwards' political views, but I don't want anything bad to happen to him or his family.
God speed man.

Unfortunately, that's my feeling as well, otherwise, why hold a press conference?

If Edwards drops out of the campaign to stay with, support, and care for his wife--shoul the news on hernhealth be as bad as the foreboding would suggest, then I believe he will have performed that act of goodness that qualifies him to be on the ticket and become Vice President even if he can't campaign. I would vote for such a man!

Only a "suspension" for now, but still ...

Well, those "sources" appear wrong in terms of suspension, but it has returned. And in the bone, as well. Very sad.

Edwards may drop his presidential ambitions to care for his wife while none of the top GOP candidates can even keep their dick in their pants long enough to serve their poor wives with divorce papers.

was this before bill and hill on tv in 92 denying the affair with jennifer flowers or after his tv appearance saying he did not have sex with that woman? Or i know it was when gary stubbs was caught in bed with the underage page and the dems did nothing (censure is saying you were a bad boy) but yet foley had inappropiate emails and the dems wanted a public hanging. How come none of the dems are calling for william jefferson to resign after the fbi found $90000.00 in his FREEZER?

What does this have to do with the story about Elizabeth Edwards? It amazes me that any and every story with some of you folks gets back to "the world isn't bad today except that it was worse under Clinton."
The story is about a woman who is probably going to be fighting for her life in the next year and the way that her husband is going to deal with its effects on his presidential ambitions. Have anything relevant to say?

Both of you can f@$king shut the hell up right now.
This is not an issue that warrants name calling, partisan talking points, or personal verbal assaults.
The man's wife has cancer. I don't care if you like him or not. You can either show some respect and express some sympathy, or you can shut the f#@k up!! Stop acting like immature obnoxious children.

With young children, I don't think so. Besides isn't "Bubba" bellied up to George Bush Sr?

Karma sucks, make a living suing doctors and look what happens. If I was an oncologist I would never agree to treat her, no matter the outcome they will be sued as a thank you.

Democrats always want to use Newt to prove Republican men are as slimey as Democrat men. They never notice that regular Republicans kicked him to the curb, not like Democrats do, join hands, and sing Kumbaya around their slimey men. What a hoot. And no Edwards won't be around, he will be on the Campaign Trail most of the time.

It would be different if he was a contender. He is way behind Barak Hussein Obama, who is way behind Hillary Clinton.

Having a replica of Bush in the next election is untenable.
Edwards has attributes not endowed with Hillary. She's a professional politician who like Bill, will sell this nation down the commode. Between Bill and his brother more pardons for felonies will be available with Hillary in office. God, she is despicable with that U-Tube video a truism. Obama, I'm sorry, an unknown or mirage whatever adjective you like.
Many of you will call Carter an abysmal Preseident but he was and is sincere in his convictions. Maybe you disliked him for not being the hawkish individual you would prefer. Facts are facts his heart and consideration were in the right place for America's interest. I see that in Edwards. Yes, he is a lawyer with a track record of taking money in legal proceedings form Corporate fatcats. Hell I wish I could accomplish that one abiding fact. I would then feel better in the morning with a good night sleep.
My dilema, who for President, I thinketh Edwards.

I will waste some bloggers time in this instructive repeat blog. Bill Clinton with the acquiesence of Hillary and Bills brother sold Pardons in Bills remaining term of office. Do you want a repeat of this corruption?
Dan Rosenkowski who was a Democratic representative from Illinois was convicted of a felony, (Malfeaseance in office) while representing his constituents. Now Bill pardoned this crook while Mr. Rostenkowski to this day receives at taxpayers expense a fat pension. Now to top off this corrupt story Mr. Rostenkowski full length oil painting of himself is still, YET, hanging in the walls of Congress. This way all present and future representatives will know, crime against the electorate pays.
You folks who would vote for hillary, take a drive to Washington D.C. and see this oil painting for yourself. Now if you are still for Hillary you are a lost soul who cannot be redeemed to plausible thinking. Clintons are corrupt and despicable humans that wish to succeed.

First and foremost, I am deeply sorry for his wife and family...I have been out most of the day and this was the first story that I wanted to check on...
These are just decent people who are dealing with a sad situation...I wish them the best...
