Jeb loves MEXICANS. They moved in and he's going to Paraguay.

I do not understand why people think they are entitled to an honorary degree when they have not put forth the work to obtain one.
All he did was cost Florida a lot of money by keeping that woman hooked up to a machine. Millions of uninsured went uncared for.
The only thing he did for the country was allow New Orleans storm victims to settle there. I guess no thanks to the residents who are missing their televisions and such.

The only good thing George Bush has done in nearly eight years is make it virtually impossible for another member of the Bush family to ever hold public office. Thanks, George!!!

Besides the rather transparent political statement made here by the U of F Faculty Senate, they also resent the fact that Gov. Bush allocated funds to other colleges and universities in the state to which the U of F faculty felt entitled.
Especially galling was his support of three new medical schools--sorely needed by the people of Florida, but selfishly opposed by the U of F faculty. The selfish among us always want the whole pie, even though Jeb Bush deserves significant credit for increasing the size of that academic pie.
It just goes to show that even smart people can be petty.

An honorary degree does not imply that the recipient has met the strict academic requirements for an advanced degree. It is intended solely to recognize contributions to an institution made by individuals who are not students or scholars.
Many of them are, in fact, "bought." Spelman College awarded comedian Bill Cosby a Doctor of Humane Letters degree after he wrote the college a check for $30 million. Cosby, of course, already possessed an "earned" Doctorate in Education from Temple University, so he was "Doctor Cosby" BEFORE receiving the honor. It is rare that a person receiving such a degree uses the title "Doctor," although a few, including poet Maya Angelou and NAACP chairman Julian Bond, choose to do so.

The only honor this Bush boob deserves is a seat beside his brother at his war crimes trial. I hope there is no political pressure to recind this decision- you know how these "gentlemen" operate.
Good to see the public is waking up to what the little dictators are up to.

I guess Jeb can not fix this as he fixed the Florida results of the last two presidential elections.
Finally, some of the American people are waking up!
