Not for nothing, You can not tiptoe through a war and be effective without a great loss of innocent life and troops. It's pure fantasy. Great wars were won by total destruction! In Iraq, We can't see the enemy. They are among the civilians. They operate under stealth. How does one sift them out? Bush and his administration has no clue or a good plan to win this war. Now we are faced with a dilemma. The truth is, Nobody has a plan to be successful in this war without killing more innocent civilians. Now drafting maybe necessary? Is that really the answer? It did not help in vietnam! Will history teach us anything? America is in over it's head, It's total destruction or bust! Obviously we can't do that. We need to get out, and concentrate on securing our own boarders. And try not to let another clueless president into office Before we can win any war. We first have to fix our own government. Most of all, Put someone competent in the white house.

Our US Army needs money!! I know the "democrats" are trying to help but the election is just right around the corner, giving us a president to take us out anyways. Meanwhile, my husband, a US soldier, and many others are not getting the supplies they need. Him and everyone in his company are suppose to get 9mm, but they can't afford it. They get short handed on supplies. Soldiers in Iraq are building sheilds for their vehicles out of scrap metal, and even don't have enough body armor for themselves. I want the "war" to end, but in the mean time I want my husband safe and well equipped.
usmedic - I was in the military and you cannot blame the Democrats for lack of equipment and ammo. Blame Bush, the American people have spoken and the Houses have sent a bill to Bush for his signature. As a matter of fact, the whole point of this standoff is that the American people as a large majority want the troops home now, not two years from now.

My response was satirical. Sad but satirical. Shrub went into Iraq to create a Walker Texas Ranger legacy and wound up looking like Custer on the battlefield. What was Custer's problem? a lack of troops,Intel... and weapons that jammed. Shrub hoped that we could divert fanatics world wide by choosing this place as a battlefield,but now that things are so stirred up... well GOD Bless our troops for their sacrifice.
I am not sure why the Neocons are afraid of a timed pullout. I thought it was stated long ago by OBL that his ultimate goal was to bankrupt the USA. It is my belief that even if you try to pull out you are going to find yourselves again attacked in such a manner as to give a reason to retain your army there. AQ is watching you spend about 2 billion a week in Iraq and you are doing their training and recruiting for them, there is no way in hell they want you to ever leave the ME. They also know that with the high surviveability rates of todays combat for the US that you are going to be paying for disabled vets for 60 years or so. You may have to cut taxes by 50 percent to pay for all the future costs.
Let's surprise them and make them wonder what we'll do next..

The Democrats are the voice of reason right now. They need to keep pressure on this administration to end the misguided policy in Iraq. We need to get the troops home.
We need to work on restoring the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and rule of law that has been trampled by this fear agenda.

I think there is a priority in the sequence of pull-outs that has been grossly (NPI) overlooked. First, there are people on both sides that need to extract their cranium entirely from their rectal orifice (aka pull-out), open their eyes, then clean out their ears.
