The Democrats, in a meeting with Bush's top aides on Capitol Hill, said they would strip from a war spending bill billions of dollars in domestic spending that the White House had opposed. Like I said yesterday, it looks like the word compromise = unconditional surrender to Bush.

yup, and the democrat politicians to me = spineless. or was that traitor?

these people have been complicit since day one. All they do is grandstand, and pretend to be on the right side, but the reality is this...

a large percentage of the democrats voted with the neo-cons to start the war, to approve every single funding bill to continue the war, and now, they can't even vote for a non-binding withdrawal date. I don't really care what their excuse is. If they don't show some courage to end this war, they shouldn't be in office. period.

In my opinion, they're either totally complicit in the crimes of the Bush administration, or they're so weak that they're completely ineffective.

Either way, they don't deserve to lead this country.

The Time to get out of Iraq is now.

or maybe compromise = we figure we have gratified our "liberal" support base so we can go ahead now and do what we intended from the start.

Congress might as well be a bowl of mush. Despite overwhelming evidence of Constitutional infirmities and gross transgressions committed by the Dumbya dictatorship, this Congress has a zero record for taking any corrective actiion. Consequently, it is a criminal accessory after the fact.
