Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison Tuesday for lying and obstructing the CIA leak investigation. On his last day in office, George Bush will pardon Scooter for being a good soldier and falling on his sword. But until then, Scooter has to ask permission to go to the bathroom and there is justice in that.

I don't know that what you think is true, but I do know that on the local news here while they were reporting this the reporter said "Bush Won't Pardon Former Cheney Aide Yet" YET? But the media just reports without trying to influence opinion right? and they would never try to give the story a little push to the left now would they? YET? But don't get me wrong, I love the fact so many in the media are psychic these days.

Atlas: it sure would, probably in neon letters. The thing that gets me is that Pres. Clinton lied about what EVERY man would lie about. Msr Libby lied about his possible involvement in treason. The two don't exactly equate. they both might be perjury though.

I doubt those 30 months will be "hard-time" either. He'll be placed in a very nice resort.

It's rather encouraging that the "usual (neo-convict) suspects" aren't here after they told us this would never happen, AND IT DID!!!

They're ducking the ball now, but we can keep several helpings of crow, hat, and Humble Pie warm for their enjoyment later.
