Cheney should be imprisoned for what? Being a political enemy of the Left? Last time I checked this country only imprisoned people for actual crimes not for politics. The political imprisonment of Libby is unfortunate and portends a rise of a left-wing tyranny in America.

"He has expressed no remorse, no acceptance of responsibility, and no recognition that there is anything he should have done differently รข;; either with respect to his false statements and testimony, or his role in providing reporters with classified information about Ms. (Valerie) Wilson's affiliation with the CIA."
WHAT??? He really does think he is above the law. He could be.

"Sentence is in 2 1/2 years in prison hahahahahahahahaha
what happened dems did the liberal judge let you down. hahahahaha once again you guys lose"
You really think that 2 1/2 years in a federal prison is a cake-walk? I doubt you'd last 2 minutes, let alone more than 2 years.

If it had been you or I, the charges would have been more severe. In addition to obstruction of justice, it would have been other "darlings" of the prosecution used against YOU.
There are laws for the privileged and laws for the masses. The Hilton matter is another prime example...GET REAL...STOP LIVING FANTASY.

Armitage was at State, not justice.
Bush won't pardon him, if he is going to jail in the next few months, and may never. With the Bushes, loyalty is definitely a one way street.
We are all shocked, shocked I say, to discover corruption in Lousiana politicians.
Grow up.

More of this nonsense. Ms. Plame testified under oath that she was a covert agant of the CIA.
Who has sworn under oath that she wasn't?
She is backed up by everyone at the CIA, including George Tenet.
Get some new lies, the old, discredited ones just make you look dumber than dogsh#t.

If Jefferson is guilty of a crime, then you're right, he should go to jail. Just like Libby, who DID commit a crime, should ALSO go to jail.
And BTW, get your facts straight. Valerie Plame WAS an undercover agent (even the CIA has admitted this), and the Wilson's were on the cover of Vanity Fair AFTER she was already outed. You see, once your cover is blown, you can't take it back. That's just not how it works

Libby lied under oath. Don't you conservatives remember the term "Lied under oath"? It's the same term you are STILL using every time the name Bill Clinton comes up.
But I guess in this case it's okay isn't it?
He is not going to jail because he leaked anything. He's going to jail because HE LIED UNDER OATH!
Remember what brought Nixon down? It wasn't the crime, it was the cover-up!
BTW- I hope Jefferson gets 30 years!

I stand corrected. I thought since O J sliced, and diced his x-wife, and her boyfriend, and went free Libby might get probation.

This is a reversal, liberals that want a traitor to face harsh punishment and conservatives who would have a person that put politics before national defense to walk away avoiding due punishment. We talk about quality of human intelligence and this is the best the administration can do, expose our own? Seems like the administration would lead the charge - but I doubt agaist themselves. How large does a breach have to be for Americans to lose party loyality for national security. If we worry about al Qaeda coming over here, I say we have to hold public officials a lot more responsible meaning Libby and his boss as necessary and honestly see if they are guilty of wrong doing. If would be comical if it weren't so serious.

George Bush will pardon Scooter on his last day in office and rich men will pay Scooter's fine but he must serve his time until the inauguration. Until then, Scooter must ask permission to go to the bathroom and sometimes the answer will be no. There's justice in that.

Libby should go to jail. He's a fall guy, he'll take the heat and punishment, while his boss, Cheney, is free to go hunting again.
