I've seen what's left of a car that hits someone at 100 mph, and a drunk usually doesn't die in the crash, but takes innocent lives with them.
My grandfather used to once in a while like to get tanked as he called it, at a local bar. Before he'd go in though he'd stop at the post office box and mail his car keys to himself. Everybody in that little town knew he'd be back the next day or on Monday to pick up the car. It was usually parked right in front of the post office. A drunk might back into it had he parked it by the bar. He always said he never wanted it on his conscience if he hit somone drunk. He had a solution. He knew he'd have to walk home. His car keys were in the mail!
If you understood addiction, you'd know the addict doesn't have that choice.

We all know that the police lied. He was not driving a Prius, he was driving that brand new H3 his mother bought.
We all know from driving on the highways that Priuses can't get up to speed to merge onto the highways, causing gridlock. Once on the highway they never go over 50 in a 65.
Additionally a prius would not allow for the carrying of the amount of drugs he had with him.
