WASHINGTON - The Bush administration is urging a former White House political director to ignore a subpoena and not testify before Congress about the firings of federal prosecutors, her lawyer says.

      It's an excellent example of how power has shifted to the White House, and in favor of protectionism rather than serving the people or defending the Constitution. In the past, a Congressional subpoena wouldn't be ignored, even at the request of the president.

      Just another sad, sobering reminder of how utterly and shamelessly corrupt an administration can become. There seems to be no depth low enough that this administration can crawl to. I , like all the rest, must hold my nose to avoid the stench that wafts through the air, ever stronger, across the United States of America, transversing borders and polluting the free world. What a F*****g mess.

      An election cannot come soon enough. America must choose wisely. The world looks to you. Do not let them down.
