The sad part is the fact that we are at war, and the fact that the Democrats and left wing whackos don't recognize that does not make it less so.
The war had already begun long before President Bush arrived on the scene. All those who have attacked us have been racial Muslim terrorists, and my guess is the main source is Iran, which you can clearly put on the shoulders of the American President, Jimmy Carter. We should have allowed the Israelis to kill Yassar Araphat over 25 years ago instead of sticking our noses into it.
You just vote the war out. Never mind thousands were killed at 9/11, hundreds and hundreds more on American Airline jets, previous bombings at WTC, American Embassies, Bali, Great Britain, France, even Russian schools by golly miss molly, and the list goes on. But if you just vote Bush out, they won't come here. Very sound reasoning for those I believe cowards and are afraid to stand up for American and for freedom.

They've already built over 60 mosques in Houston alone. The Trojan Horse is already here! Wake up before they start beheading you! The guard is standing on the tower, warning you the enemy is coming or has already arrived on your doorstep. Anyone with any common sense can see this is evil and needs to be stopped. The guards on the tower have warned you. This sheep is part of the group I fear that sees no evil; therefore, there is no evil. I guess it worked for the big bad wolf to dress up in Grandma's clothing? The sheep are very convinced?

We are at war because we invaded Iraq. We should bomb Berlin and Tokyo again, they started it!!!! Mexico City for the Alamo, who else do we owe a payback on? Damn those people that stopped those wars

Oh, Lordy, Lordy...
What's sad is you think staying the course in Iraq for years is going to make such a big difference in the overall scheme of things.
Yesterday it was reported that al-Qaeda is at the same strength it was in 2001. Why? Because we diverted more lives, money, and energy into getting rid of a two-bit mid-East despot based on faulty intelligence. If we had just put the time into going after bin Laden (who attacked us in the first place), maybe, just maybe, we would have some progress there. But no. Bush had to attack Iraq. Now we're there forever.
As for the new intelligence regarding the rise of al-Qaeda again - I hope that intel is as wrong as they were with the WMD in Iraq, because if they are correct, we're certainly in for a rough time!

Another RINO agrees to surrender while offering no real solutions...where is the news?

there would not have had to have been a solution had Bush revealed to both houses before the vote that there were no WMD and no Saddam affiliation with Al Qaida. He had the intelligence but it was about oil and the Americans will not be there until there is no more oil.
There was an agenda put in place many years ago and Bush is just being a tool by the string pullers.

Isn't it clear to you yet that there is no real solution. It's simply Bush's folly and it's high time it was ended. To continue with this dreadly charade would be dumber than starting it in the first place.

Can any of you tell the wife and children why their husband and dad was killed in Iraq. Freedom for who? The guy that is allowed to keep his AK 47 to shoot people of other beliefs.
To keep Iraqis from invading the US? We have 20,000 MS13, drug dealing, killing, gang members in the US anyone stopping that invasion????

You are apparently blind AND deaf. MANY people have been giving proposed solutions; but W, in his infinite wisdom, has completely ignored them - including from the BIPARTISAN commission. Look them up; I think we're all tired of repeating them to blind followers of an inept administration putting mired in corruption with absolutely no purpose other than to line their own & their corporate buddies' pockets.
Iraq was not responsible for 9/11, had no WMD's, no ties to AQ, & no capacity to attack us - especially since we were bombing them on almost a daily, or at least weekly, basis since Gulf War I.
And - now read this carefully:
The longer we stay in Iraq, the more we proclaim we're at war with Islam, and the more innocent civilians we kill & torture....
You ready...
THE HARDER THEY WILL FIGHT US & FIGHT FOR THEIR HOMES & FAMILIES.

Yes, just before an election. The Demopublicans have proven that they are just as useless as the other single party in this country. Lots of hot air and no action. Sad that they will in the end answer to the voters that put them there to end this terrible act of aggression on a country that had no WMDs.

Both GWB and the pentagon disagree with you. I heard GWB say on national television that the small number of pre 1991 small weapons that were found were not what he meant by WMDs (I'll give him credit for that honesty). The Pentagon concluded that they were degraded and couldn't have been used against us any ways. Where do you get your information?

The Republicans are hedging their bets. Rather than withdraw now, wait as long as possible since there is plenty of time before the next election. These leaders play with the lives of our soldiers. All know the war is a lost cause, except Bush/Cheney but the game of politics always prevails. Snowe is another abysmal leader that will not force Bush to accept reality. More deaths for naught. More money spent for naught. More lunacy to satiate the Bush/Cheney insane agenda.
The Democrats deserve rebuke also. The American electorate voted and what did we get, nothing again.
Both parties are a disgrace representing Democracy.

"The American electorate voted and what did we get, nothing again."
Well, unfortunately the American electorate did not vote ENOUGH Democrats into the Congress to break the Presidents veto power. And unfortunately enough Republicans have not yet woken up and smelled the coffee with regard to public opinion to this war, and therefore have not joined with the Democrats to push a withdrawl through.

So, her vote DOESN'T count??
5 down and 5 to go..
You can call them whatever you want, they're
tired of being responsible for more dead young Americans.
At least THEY have a conscience..
(I think the 6th is ready this week!!)
Yeah Lugar!!!
Yeah Dominici..
Call them what you want, but we call you
a cruel and stubborn minority who
still favors sending our troops
in harms way to be butchered...
The worst part is that there is absolutely no
definition of progress except a "feeling".
Nothing measurable and nothing that ant
credib;le leaderm in the history of'the world would
continue mto or even start to involve an army
in without having....
WHAT'S THE PLAN??
WHO HAS TO "FEEL GOOD" before it's ok to leave??
When did your "let's stay in Vietnam" meetings
stop getting together for their weekly
efforts to continue bad policies???
their votes count too

"would have found out WMD were found in Iraq. Also, overwhelming evidence shows tons were moved to Syria before the war started. "
I would hold Donald Rumsfeld criminally responsible if he allowed large shipments of WMD to leave Iraq. Because remember that he said he knew where large stockpiles were held. Would be treasonous to allow any movement of such weaponry without immediate response which we had at the ready. Look at Google Earth. This is what the public can see. What do you think the DOD has access to?
Overwhelming evidence? The Bush Administration has admitted no WMD's from post GW1 have been found. And you neglect to mention the insurgents (largely Baathists) have never used any such weapons in attacks on US troops. The weapons you refer to that were found in Iraq got John Kasich laughed off of Capitol Hill. Dangerous more than anything for the fact they were degraded and old. Anyone handly such weapons would have been lucky not to do themselves in.

Please come back to reality. Clinton was after GW1. No post-GW1 WMDS have been found or likely ever existed. Most of the information about the supposed WMD's from that era came from Ahmad Chalabi and his INC flunkies who were on the US government payroll. Chalabi once had illusions that he would someday rule Iraq. In a way he used us to get rid of Saddam to forward his own ambition. Of course we had plenty of our own reasons. Unfortunately for his desires he received less than 1% of the vote in the Iraqi general elections. He has since slithered away to await his next act. The administration will tell you that foreign agencies confirm this information but they were truly only accepting what we had told them.
Critical that those objecting to this administration get the facts straight. I have seen no evidence that we directly supplied Saddam with chemicals for weaponry but we were quite aware of what he was up to especially during the Iran-Iraq War.

Senator Snowe has more than heard from her constituents.
Maine Senator Collins' office got an earful from my wife and I this morning.
"Oh, you're asking that the troops come home now?"
- No, Ma'am; we're demanding they come home!!!
It appears she's a slower learner.

nevertheless, the bush administration used WMD to elicit support from the american people for the war effort. it was used over and over again by many...rice, cheney & bush himself.
no body now thinks we went to war over WMD. we should all know it was all about hubris...and a little oil.

iwant5000dollars. . No more crack for you! Bush missed the mark (Islamabad) by at least 1,657 miles. To realign is not defeat. Of course that might indicate an error (or worse) in judgment. A FANATIC WILL NEVER admit to any mistakes. Now we all know it's difficult to take responsibility for mistakes when the cost is human lives. That's why we have criminal courts.

boy that's a lot of words, but do you really believe iraq was a threat to US national security before the war?
and did you believe that statement General Powell read in his pre-war speech, called I think 'The case against Iraq', that used a thesis paper written by some UK college kid? Someone in the administration took some kid's college wankings and threw it in General Powell's speech, and the guy dutifully read it in support of a campaign that cost 3600 plus American lives.
[Coulda at least stole some AMERICAN kid's college paper...]
As Jack Palance would say, 'Believe it, or Not...'
