I would like to remind people before they start saying that this is a mandate against the democrats that congress is close to 50-50 split. So don't start with the partisan mumbo jumbo. I don't want to hear it.

It is not a 50-50 split. Democrats have control 233 to 203 Republicans. Democrats could impeach, or whatever with 219 votes. Their problem is they could not win back Congress without fielding several conservative (blue dogs) and they vote most of the time with Republicans. Plus, Damascus Rose is a weak leader. She is wasting all her time on anti-war legislation, and the Blue dogs won't buy it. They will either not vote, or vote with the Republicans. If she doesn't get anything done before the Primaries in Jan the Republicans will label them "do nothings" like they did the Republicans in 06, and we will toss them out too.

They got to learn that if they don't do what the people that elected them want their poll numbers go down. Congress and the Senate are the only one that worry about it at all. The Judicial and the executive, especially after a President is in his final term, don't give a hoot about what the people say. He's set for life with a generous pension, secret service protection, and speaking engagements worth millions. Now that power has been consolidated in the Executive branch, they can do whatever they like. You, Congress, or anybody else that doesn't like it, can go fly a kite. Congress can't change the policies there's still not enough of them that want change. People are generally fed up with the administration and thought the Democrats could magically change it all. It takes time. Remember they're battling the Executive and the Judicial. That's a daunting task.

Actually the Democrats Congressional approval was 21%, and the Republicans Congressional approval was at 20%. Americans have no use for any of them. You can pass legislation if it is what the people want, and both partys compromise. That will not happen in this hostile atmosphere. So in 08 we will look to new faces, and attempt to find Candidates that will represent Americans.
