I'm sorry, but they're going to have to try harder than simply recycling old Bin Laden footage to scare us again. They really need new tactics....
And the media that just goes along with this propaganda are even more to blame. The media is supposed to inform us, not brainwash us...but clearly it's been the opposite for quite some time.

Exactly. Look at a picture from him in 2001 and one from 2007, his graying pattern on his bead is identical. He didn't age a single day. I guess cave living is the secret to longevity! Have you seen pictures of Bush from 2001-2007? Major difference.

It does seem awfully convenient that this 'new' video is splashed all over the media right when Democratic Congress looks like it's going to gain some ground.
It's probably wishful thinking to hope that people will get hip to the idea of propaganda for perpetuation of a war that lines the pockets of the proponents. And so many of the people that are pro-war are also getting ripped off and killed and can't admit it. Democratization has costs, they say.
Hey democracy is great, but the ends do not justify the means in this case.
The flawed argument of personal attack is coming for this comment.

All of the supposed Bin Laden tapes are always released so conveniently. Bush practically won the 2004 election because a "new" tape that was released telling the American people to vote for Kerry and not Bush. Another tape was released days before the vote for the Patriot Act II. The list goes on and on and people never catch on!

the government is manipulating the flow of information as one of its weapons against "THEM"
Just depends if you are a "THEM" at the time if they will use it on you. This case its the US Senate that the video footage and the (newly?) captured prisoner are being used against.
The War on Terror is being used as an excuse psychological warfare against the US population.

Somethings up. The rhetoric has been pushed up on al qaeda's link to Iraq. The rhetoric has been pushed up on Iran being the ONLY country involved in insurgent activity. Bush just signed another 'executive order' giving him power over congress in an emergency. Yeah, these CONS aren't going to let being in the toilet with Americans fly. They're going to do ANYTHING to keep their power. They have too much to lose.
Something will happen, and the freaks will blame democrats. People will forget that bush allowed 9/11 to happen, and that bush dropped the ball with Afghanistan, and allowed bin laden to regroup, and they'll forget that Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11. They'll forget our infrastructure was NEVER secured. Very ominous times.

Osama never claimed responsibility for 9-11. Only through (supposedly) confiscated unintelligible tapes did the CIA claim that he did. None of these tapes was ever verified to be authentic and prove the 9-11 connection. Besides, we all know that OBL is just hanging low at the Crawford ranch...

My only conclusions was from reading the Al Qaeda web sites. Al Qaeda seems to have no problem stating what you can't seem to accept: Osama bin Laden is their leader and Al Qaeda attacked on 911. al Qaeda's matter of fact references to his Letter to America which is his motive and the book Masterminds of Terror where his groupies bring out details only insiders, the perpetrators, would have known.
