From Foreign Affairs magazine, here is the foreign policy manifesto from Rudy Giuliani, as a rubric for American foreign policy and what we might expect during a Giuliani Administration
Here is a review of the article for those who don't want to wade through the whole thing, by someone who considered themselves a Giuliani supporter before he read the review:

As far as I can tell, this is just a perpetuation of Bush foreign policy...Giuliani rejects a "realist" approach to foreign policy in favor of "faith based" (meaning he has faith that things will just sort of work out) policy of interventionalism.

* "[U]nless we pursue our idealistic goals through realistic means, peace will not be achieved."
* "A realistic peace is not a peace to be achieved by embracing the 'realist' school of foreign policy thought. That doctrine defines America's interests too narrowly and avoids attempts to reform the international system according to our values."

* "The first step toward a realistic peace is to be realistic about our enemies. They follow a violent ideology: radical Islamic fascism, which uses the mask of religion to further totalitarian goals and aims to destroy the existing international system. These enemies wear no uniform. They have no traditional military assets. They rule no states but can hide and operate in virtually any of them and are supported by some."

-What about THEIR values...have they ever considered this approach. We're not going to change them; we can bargain with them perhaps, but not change relationships and ideologies that took centuries to develop.

Way to approach it peacefully, Rudy...

This is a return to the Cultural Imperialism of past centuries. I got a real kick out of this quote:
"Despite the UN's flaws, however, the great objectives of humanity would become even more difficult to achieve without mechanisms for international discussion. History has shown that such institutions work best when the United States leads them. "
The similarities between the ideology behind past British Imperialism and this type of foreign policy platform is unmistakable.

Jeebus, can this guy possibly milk 911 any further? Hasn't he made enough money from it already? No, he wants more, and he wants to be crowned King of America right after Bushtard.
Like I said on previous threads before, Rudy Giuliani is a dirty piece of styrofaom floating aimlessly down a dank alley way. I used to to call him a 'piece of sh*t', but I no longer want to insult pieces of sh*t. They deserve far more respect than Rudy Giuliani.
This guy is the ultimate panderer and charlatan.

I can see you are not greatly enamoured of this candidate, deadlyhaiku. And rightly so.
Some of his verbiage sits quite neatly with PNAC doctrine. He seems to see no problem with this arrogant and neo-Imperalist approach to foreign affairs.
Charlatan, yes indeed -- excellent word!

They will continue to milk 911 because we all know they were behind it. If you really think about it, look how often it is referenced in speeches from this administration. Wake up people. There is always a method to this madness. Everytime they mention 911, our rights are totally being erased from the constitution.

He sounds like business as usual because we do not know what we are doing.
We are just sending our military out to protect China's interests.
Keep the defective goods coming in so the rich can stay in the loop of trading with Asia.
Keep the economy strangling, when people struggle convince them it is their fault.
The only change the upchucks have of winning the next election is if people do not show up to vote.
I would rather see Illbamyou win. I will hold out for the 15 an hour he promised me.

Here's how I usually present the upcoming 08 presidential elections to people I talk to. If you vote Republican, you're voting for nothing to change. If you vote Democratic, you're voting for a CHANCE of change. Giuliani has proved consistently that he doesn't just use the same fear-mongering vocabulary as the current administration, but he intends of following through with it. We'll stay in Iraq, we'll go in Iran and we'll continue to shatter what little credibility we have on the international stage. These neo-cons aren't just incompetent, they're suicidal. They're ensuring that America has a much, much darker tomorrow and I for one am getting sick of it.

thats the funniest blog I've ever read..why don't you learn not to lie...if the dems win, they will start pulling troops out and probably just like nam the rest of them will have to sit over there untill its there turn to leave....
We will all go broke to pay for poor people's healthcare (those that are capable of working of course..)
welfare recipients will get double.(compliments of the working class)
we will have to say goodbye to our tax breaks.
the military will be banned from college's
they will allow young girls to have abortions without even allowing parents to be involved.
We will have to pay for stupid people's mistakes, cause they bought a house on a variable loan..duh..
Any form of our religion will be banned, but the few they decide need rights, will be allowed special treatment....
And we will watch the dems, let terrorist do what the hell they want. and by that time it is to late..just like the u.s. cole bombing and numourous things clinton let slide right by

evidence of who bombed the cole came within days of bush being inaugrated....i understand why clinton didnt go after them with 2 days left in his presidency but i honestly thought bush would take care of it....instead he went on vacation
so it wasnt clinton that let the cole slide was bush

Wow, everything you said there are moronic assumptions that are completely unrealistic. Here's something that is realistic, if the cross-dresser is elected we will stay in Iraq and we will probably go into Iran. Those are two things that I and the majority of the nation do NOT want. Secondly, with a Democrat in charge there's a bigger CHANCE that we pursue new forms of energy and potential for universal health care which the majority of the nation wants.
Honestly, you claim my "blog" (it's actually a post smart guy) was funny, meanwhile your rebuttal sounds like the ramblings of a right-wing loon who sits in a bomb shelter with a tin foil hat on listening to Rush Limbaugh all day.
