Of course Foley is off the hook. There was no case. It was another Democrat hoax. Remember that when they try to pull another one in Oct. 08.

You need to start looking at the article first. If you read my first post it covers some of what you had questions on, I think they were questions??? Its not political. I will be saying the same thing when a dem gets charged for being a perv or ped. Give you an example: Michael Vick thing. He hasnt had a real court trial. I havent ever said if hes guilty or not. Its not race, its not political, its not anything else but an accusation until it can be proven. Its that easy. Do I think Foley is a criminal..yes. Do I think Vic is a criminal...yes. That doesnt really matter until the juries verdit is in. Why cant ppl take things that ppl are accused of doing and wait for a trial...a judgement? Its not that hard to have patience. Its not your time thats being wasted.

If he is found to of broken any laws he will go to jail, but as the story say they have yet to find a law they can charge him with, so sit back and calm down. His political affiliation is not an issue now, if you want to pick on republicans there are real things the party stands for you can justly get mad about.

Excuse me, but a pig is a pig.
There should be no "Republican pig" or "Democrat pig".
What's amazing is that nearly everyone is willing to give their side a free ride.
I can still remember the foaming-at-the-mouth defense of Bill Clinton's "private life" as nobody's business while three women were accusing him of rape. What did we learn? Deny the charges and call the women every bad name in the book.
Suprised that everyone protects their own regardless of their reprehensible acts? Why?

I don't give a damn what Foley does with with adult males. But teenagers is another matter. If it's proven that some of these boys were under 18, he needs to be indicted and put on trial.

Defending a pedophile? Incredible. I never thought I'd say this, but LIBSRFUNNY has sunk to a new low.
Foley may be released without punishment, but what about all the non-politicians arrested and charged on Dateline NBC's "To Catch a Predator"? Why should Foley get special treatment if Foley's actions were similar to the actions of those apprehended on NBC's show?
Aren't you part of the same Republican Party that denounces equal marital status for homosexuals and accuses homosexuals of attacking the sanctity of the family? And yet in acts of ultimate hypocrisy, you neocons conveniently excuse certain homosexuals who happen to be members of the GOP. To you hypocrites, homosexuals attack the family structure, yet it's somehow acceptable for Mary Cheney TO RAISE A CHILD with lesbian partner Heather Poe. To you hypocrites, homosexuals attack the family structure, yet it's somehow acceptable for Foley to corrupt minors and not be held accountable.
Pathetic.

Oh,so before, being gay meant that you were a pervert no matter what age,but now,Foley is not a pervert because his partners were of age?
Yes,republicans support someone being able to join the military at 17 and going to war for their country, they just cant come home and have a beer, smoke a cigarette and watch an "adult" movie if they live through it.

American politicians are rarely called to account for their crimes and misdemeanors. What makes it even worse is that the voters rarely even remember this stuff on election day. Want the world's greatest job? Run for congress. There you will enjoy perks undreamed of by mortal men, and virtual immunity from all accountability.

sure. these are powerful people that understand the system of 'checks and balances'--checks being the kind with numbers and balances meaning scales, as in the kind they can tip in their own favor. These are the people who actually make the laws after all, so why should they have to follow them?
why would they want to set the dangerous precedent of actually paying for misdeeds like regular folks.

It figures! He took the fall for what he did, but was probably promised a pardon if he went as quietly as possible. Same with Delay and Rummy!

just laughable
those who always preach moral are always the ones who just show us how to do it:)
reminds me on the catholic church ...
i have come to the conclusion that people in this country will never accept that it happens in all classes of society and both parties as its absolute normal
just one side is denyin itself the others freely lives with inner peace and with their heads up proudly as they dont predent to be summin they cant be
as an ex very actively gop member i know what im talkin about u got all these gays which is absolute ok and normal ,
in the gop in hundreds spreadin hatred as a kinda protection shield to hide ..
seein all that was really disgustin and just shows on how many lies some ideologie is all based on
no reply is necessary as i know what these smarties are gonna say !

This one person doesnt show the whole party...nor did other one persons show up the other party on your side. Difference, one payed the ppl off, the other one, is still undecided. Church...you are assuming that the 20-30 persons that have been the church their wholes lives are a picture into the live of religious ppl. I think you want to make that assumption to better fit your personal belief. Saying that, I should say that Im not even religious and never have been. Hatred is spread from both sides in one way or another. Im not defending Foley...I know he did something but the hatred of my party is why Im responding. You seem just to hate bc of political differences. Cant you look at this as Vics problems. I am willing to tell everyone that we need to convict in court before we do in the public. Same here. If they have evidence, they will convict. I still think both are guilty but I dont know without knowledge and we cant seem to get any on either!!!

but the biggest mess is just becomin routine ,these idiots get away with it
and the people votin them in dont give a demn
well i couldnt ask for a better voter:)
do what the f...u want ,just follow some routines like sunday church and sure dont drop the ''god save...''line outta ur speeches !and the actual naive good willin voters are buyin it (i mean that without any negative backthoughts)
my dad from italy always used to say
to me and my brothers ..boys the rule is quite simple
got to church ,do whatever you wanna do but do it with discretion ! i guess we as a nation we'll just go on that path for another 50 yrs till we reach a point where these issues cab be adressed..remeber its only 40 yrs
when in this country people refused to even sit next to a black brother in public!!!not even half a generation ago ..
fact is we need longer than others to see honestly the facts in the eye

So your from Italy. I think I have pointed this out before when you & I had a discussion on a different thread. You Europeans have your own problems. I am certain Italy is not devoid of sexual perverts either, esspecially not in the government or at churches. Please extend us the kind courtesy to take a good look at your own country as well before constantly commenting about ours. Thank you very much in advance.

@libs are funny
Not once have I ever seen you initiate one text or one thought on your own. All you ever do is react to peoples posts and act as a spoiler. You are known as what is a "troll". You are a good little wannabe. You are a good little Hitlerite.
I was force recon,"lerp", and it makes me sick to read your offal continuinly making excuses for the rich and getting richer bastards that are killing my brothers and sisters in arms for their own profit.
I warrant that you have never served, that you are just a rush limbaugh wannabe that would ****** your pants if you ever had to look down the barrel of a gun as I HAVE.
Do you ever espouse any philosophy? Do you ever try to pose any solutions to the problems that this nation and indeed the world are facing?
I will probably get rounded up by your nazi masters for saying this, but if I ever met you in real life, I would put a bullit in your brain, small as it is. I shot "expert" and then some.

Foley is innocent until proven guilty...OJ was proven innocent and Ted Kennedy has never been proven guilty...Ahh,,,but Kennedy is different, according to cons,he's guilty even though he was never charged with a crime...and Scooter Libby is innocent even though he was found guilty....
No wonder you cons think libs are dumb...who wouldnt be confused with your logic?

It's not only people in this country, it's people everywhere. Since you were born in Germany, you may speak german & understand this "ueberall wird es mit wasser gekocht."

of course u r goin to listen to europeans and foreigners
(that does not include me)
just to make that very clear ,because everything the u.s is today is because of great people that immigrate to the states
it were foreigners who invented the biggest achievements
and launched the biggest success stories in every way
we r proud of today
(some negatives shouldnt be forgotten e.g c.i.a etc.)anyway
think first..
what make us different from australia
(both we have the same origin same heritage etc...)
but whats puts us apart from australia?

bernardo, I don't think there is anything wrong with being Italian or an immigrant. Even if you were a foreigner who never visited America, but read the newspapers, you might have something intelligent to say. I'm sorry but we are all a bit touchy these days, the mood in the USA is ugly.
Republicans are still living in their imaginary 1950's Stepford Wives world. But the Beaver is dead, and Elvis ain't coming back. Personally, I hope for a civil war, there is too much dead wood in these hills, and a good fire would clear it out lovely. But if you like some exciting times, welcome, you are just in time for the Revolution!
