Great article, Populist.
9/11 was the greatest thing that could have happened during the Bush administration. I'll bet they were worried that they'd not be able to come up with so many excuses from one tragedy in order to get the USA involved in wars.
And now nearly six years to the day, the Bushites are trying to continue to use 9/11 as fear tactics on this War On Terror and continuing to connect Saddam Hussein and 9/11 in order to justify their illegal and criminal invasion of a country that did not attack us first.
Now look at where we are. We had the world behind us, now the world sees that the USA has created hell in Iraq's handbasket. Our standing and reputation worldwide has dropped substantially in these six years since 9/11.
Bush squandered everything just cuz he decided to attack Iraq and forget about Afghanistan, Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Oh yea, and what happened to Bush's wanting Usama "Dead or Alive"? He kind of conveniently forgot about that one, too!
