  Why not? Syria can be just like its idol, Iran, and tell the IAEA, "Why, yes, that is a secret nuclear development program. Were we suppose to inform you about that earlier?"

    Let's see---The brits are at the boarder, Israel is flying maneuvers, Cheney has found a way to be in direct contact, secrecy abounds, media ramping up evilness---all good signs that a new war is just around the bend.

    Oh yes--the domino theory. I remember it well. In the 60s my late husband was in the military & they drilled it into him that if Viet Nam fell, the entire world would fall under Communist domination...The US demonizes every nation/state in the Middle East (except Israel, which not only has nuclear weapons, but they lied to President Kennedy and had a secret nuclear weapons plant at Dimona back in 1963.) Brave Israeli Mordecai Vanunu blew the whistle on them back in 1967 and has been in one form of prison ever since. If they didn't have 400 nuclear weapons, most of the Middle East wouldn't be trying to get nukes too. "Final Judgment" - Michael Collins Piper. Great book about this...People still don't realize that nukes are not something you can control. Radiation can spread around the world on wind currents. (Mt. St. Helens volcanic ash came all the way to our yard in so. Ill after the eruption in 1980.)
