I dunno - I counted four - do your repugs count creatively, or do you "not recall"?

I'm always suspicious of anyone that thinks that only one side has bad apples, be they individuals or worse yet supposed journalist or 'unbiased' websites. Denouncing one side and turning a blind eye to what's going on with the side you are aligned with is partisan politics and the height of hypocrisy.
The list itself may have had people there that belonged true, but what I don't understand is why Reid that made money off a land deal because he was 'connected' as well as Feinstein that made millions for her husband regarding 'evil' military contracts.
Yeppers the right has corrupt people and we on the right should and hopefully will bounce them on their ears; I hold hope that the left too will clean their houses as well. Puts me rabbits foot in me pocket,,,

Senator Feinstein's Iraq Conflict
As a member of the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee, Sen. Feinstein voted for appropriations worth billions to her husband's firms
When the Chairperson is awarding billions of taxpayer's dollars to her husbands companies I think that warrants an investigation don't you?
· Beginning in 2003, both Perini and URS were awarded a series of open-ended contracts (Cost plus) for military construction work around the world, including in Iraq and Afghanistan. Under Feinstein's leadership, MILCON regularly approved specific project "task orders" that were issued to Perini and URS under these contracts.
Feinstein's husband is a major owner of Perini and URS
(These are No bid contract .bid contracts usually take 3 years to get through)

In 2000, according to public records, Periniâ;;which partly specializes in erecting casinosâ;;earned a mere $7 million from federal contracts. Post-9/11, Perini transformed into a major defense contractor. In 2004, the company earned $444 million for military construction work in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as for improving airfields for the U.S. Air Force in Europe and building base infrastructures for the U.S. Navy around the globe. In a remarkable financial recovery, Perini shot from near penury in 1997 to logging gross revenues of $1.7 billion in 2005.

Get a life and understand what the facts are.
Congress appropriates funds for use by the various executive departments. Congress, and thus Feinstein do not appropriate funds or approve contracts with the firms doing the work.
The approval of contracts and providing of funds for the contractors is done by the executive department.
I would assume since Feinsteins husband got some contracts he made bids and set conditions that were acceptable to the Department of Defense in this case. BTW that department is and has been since 2001 run and controlled by republican political appointees and they could have stopped those contracts had they seen the need.

I found this link to last year's "winners" interesting:
http://www.beyonddelay.org/files/bd_update_2005...
It shows what happened to them. It is encouraging that 12 of the 25 from last year's list are no longer in office.

18 out of 22 corrupt congressmen are Republicans. And the 2 to watch are both Republicans. And this was the party of bringing back ethics and morals to government? Good job, Brownie!

Yea, you can see where old Newt Gingrich is now. Touting his politics on Fox News. You see where Tom DeLay is--nowhere, still defending himself--his name should be Tom DeNy.
Sure there are Dems in there, mostly they really are corrupt human beings in suits and ties and a smile always on their face. It's like a virus they all catch, once up those Capitol steps, they think they are invincible.

My question is....if we know they are corrupt....then why are they not shown the exit?

So we are supposed to believe CREW??? why, cause they're liberals??
What did Duncan Hunter do??
Why isnt Kennedy on the list?? He killed someone. Byrd is in the KKK. Hillary should be on the list as number 1.
thanks for the left spin.....

Sorry but this list has nothing to do with personal actions except where those use political office and stature for illegal personal gain.
Kennedy and Byrd's issues do not deal with ethical misuse of their office so they should not be included. What has Hillary done that misues here political position for personal gain.
Look at the list and what the lapses are. In all cases personal gain and/or violation of congressional rules for personal gain by the misuse of their position.
Republicans sure are good at greasing pockets by using their positions especially their own pockets. Non political personal issues are not part of this review of political ethics and should not be. Maybe they are reasons for other actions but not for inclusion on this list.

I believe the article refers to corrupt politicians who are under indictment. The ones who have gone to prison already were removed from the list.
The people you are trying to cast suspicion on, are not under investigation or indictment. Sorry to give you news that will distress you, lol. Much as you would LIKE to see them go to jail.

The republican party is the first ones to point a finger & the first ones to say not me! What did Nixion say? "I'm not a crook" They are all dirty, don't trust any of them , that's why they call it politics.

IanFraigun11 months, 3 weeks ago
What a difference between parties though the republicans here probably will never admit it.
Truman - The Buck Stops Here
Kennedy- Ask not what your country can do for you
Nixon - I am not a crook
Somehow that tells a whole story to me that should be obvious to all

actually feinstein used her position on comittees to direct work to her husband. but this is a list of the top corrupt officials, not all of the corrupt officials...for that list just go to a list of elected officials.

To add to my prior comments please note the
Senate that appropriated the funds and the Executive Branch departments that awarded the contracts to Feinsteins husband were all controlled by republicans.
Why would his doing a job for the government and impressing republicans enough with his work to get those contracts be considered ethical impropriety by his wife, a senator in the minority when those contracts were awarded.

No member of the congress can mandate the executive award contracts to specific companies.
If her husband was awarded contracts it was because the republicans who wrote and awarded the contracts felt he was the best to handle the work.
Taking your attitude on this no spouse of any member of congress could ever do any business with the government no matter how well they could do the work. Now get of Feinstein she did nothing wrong or she would also be under investigation by the republican controlled justice department.

LCDay12: Because the ultra thieves are being caught. If they brought up the ones who are shall we say out of the limelight such as Foley in Florida- There's a family values guy for you - Deny Delay and of course the leader of the bunch Bush. You'd really be crying the blues wouldn't you.

"Why am I not surprised."
Because CREW is bankrolled by Soros and run by an ex-employee of John Conyers and Chuck Schumer?

Obviously the people who keep on voting for them don't seem to care one bit. You have to blame the voters for that. You get who you vote for.

This article is simply the condensed version of the original list of Congressional crooks. The title of the full report is "The 535 Most Corrupt Members of Congress."

another lame attempt to change the topic.
and btw, the latest polls also say people trust the dems in congress way more than the repubs in congress.
and what poll are you talking about?
the latest Fox poll has a 32% approval for congress, 56% disapproval.
the same Fox poll has bush at 37% approval, 58% disapproval.
oh well. you tried. and that's the important thing.
