Politics – Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani will pick up the endorsement Friday of former GOP rival Tommy Thompson, a one-time Midwestern state governor.
"Thompson is the first former 2008 Republican presidential candidate to endorse in the race, and officials familiar with details of the political courting involved said Giuliani's top rivals also sought his support. But Thompson recently told Giuliani he'd get the nod after several weeks of conversations."
Yeah, Tommy Thompson can endorse Giuliani, and generate the kind of excitement he didn't during his own run for the Presidency.
Maybe he can get on the ticket in the number two spot and they can both go down in flames together...no, that's not another 9/11 pun; Giuliani has the copyrights to those all sewn up.

Are you all talking about that article on HealthDecisions.org?? It says a lot of seniors are going to Mexico for their nursing care. They get a nice room with patio, 24 hour care and meals for about $550 a month. For an extra $140 they get complete medical care thrown in. I am staying here with President Giuliani. Some one said yesterday we should hire illegals to build the border fence, and just as they are getting finished, shove them back across. Doesn't that sound mean? I like it.

What is it about Gore that is so reprehensible?
His intellignece? Considering the leadership of the last 7 years, constructing a coherent sentence would seem to be a commendable trait.
Is it his straight laced demeanor? Considering the drug, alcohol and adultering (& deviant sexual exploits) offenses common in most politicians, some good old fashioned family values would be a breath of fresh air.
Oohh, it must be his exposure of environmental issues and the urgency of resolving global warming and the perceived hypocricy of living in a big house.
See, being a nobel laureate means that you can't be wrong about ANYTHING and you have to live a life committed to ABSOLUTES!

Reuters: Scooter Libby has also given his endorsement to Guliani. Scooter cited his need to further his criminal activities well into the next administration and sees the need for more commuted sentences for GOP ofiicials. He quoted,"Can't afford to lose my competitive edge."
The Republican party should not nominate Giuliani. He won't even win New York, New Jersey. He'll get whupped in the northeast, and ignored in the south.
He may be competitive in California, but he'll lose there too.
The southern conservatives will doubt him on social issues. He won't win the general.
Realistically it should be Romney or McCain, but the base hates these guys, so they can't get past the primaries.
