                You may not like the game, but if you don't support the team in the game then all of this is lost. Your bio said that you are an avid gun owner. Which leads me to believe that you are a middle of the road kind a guy. You know there is a right and wrong and try to stay away from the gray areas. This is one of those gray areas. But it will get worse if we don't win this war.

              With that kinda of Idealogy, you would have supported Hilter in WWII if you were German. Last time I look, it was'nt the soldiers that started this war. There is a lot of shady things done by our administration to put us in this war. Some might even say this isnt a war but a occupation.       The VA is not underfunded. The troops were sent overseas for the good of the planet, the troops that went to battle without the the proper equipment were National Guard troops whose respective States were responsible for equiping them, The troops are only damned by those who wish to use them for political leverage against President G.W. Bush.

        The Us is out to steal the Iraqi oil reserves. There has ben a bill in the Iraqi parliment for quite some time that will give 80% of the iraqi oil reserves to 7 major oil companies, 5 of which are located in the US.

            We agree that BushCheney's principal aim was to secure Iraq's oil for their pals in BigOil. The only difference is that ADAguy thinks they are still trying and I think they've already failed. I see $100 oil as a compensatory gift for their buddies.                       Can't you see the connection, let's try something different. Lets say you have a parcel of land down on the waterfront in some city. It's worth 10 million but there are other lots available for development so you must compete with other owners. If you were to stir up the crime rates in the other peoples areas you could up your price because it would be less of a risk for builders to build in. Basically what your doing is taking their lots of the market and driving up the price of your own lot. Iraq's oil reserve is not that big, but it's big enough when somebody messes with it it drives the world price up and the oil companies make bigger profits. Why am I telling you this, your smart enough to know this. What would be smart is do away with opec. Here in Canada the Alberta oils sands have enough oil for over 200 years. That's one source out of countless ones so why should we be gouged like people who don't have any or enough?

                Now who's not being honest? I hate to break this to ya, buzz, but Exxon Mobil, Chevron, BP and Shell don't all live in the Middle East. They live everywhere.

          92 american dollar oil because of a collapsing dollar. when BB lowers interest rates again you will see 100 dollar oil. when opec stops using the US dollar as their base currency you will see 150 dollar oil.. way to go georgie boy, you're doing a heck of a job.

          The same Greenspan who kept interest rates extremely low in 2001 which allowed the US housing market and homeowner's debt to grow tremendously? From 2001 to 2005, outstanding mortgage debt went from $5.293 billion to $8.888 billion.

          What Greenspan did was create a time bomb and you are seeing the results now

        I am not sure how "they' becomes "we" unless, of course, you are connected with the U.S. oil companies. I am sure the U.S. oil companies don't have the same connection to you as you want to believe. Its the U.S. oil companies who are reaping the benefits not the common ordinary person in the U.S. The oil companies love to see $92 per barrel. Also, for some reason, Americans believe its all about them. LOL! I've got news for you, it's not. The U.S. oil companies sell the oil to the world not just to you.

      The price of oil didn't really go up. The value of the dollar just went down.

          Did I say it was hurting them? Even their 'record profits' are in dollars inflated by the Fed, and their costs go up too. But they work on figuring an average % return, and rely more on profits from retail sales than directly from the trade in crude.

          Just wait until the relative price of oil goes up - by that I mean the price as a ratio of the price of wheat, or corn, or nickel, or steel, or copper.
