These right-wingers give us more than enough material every single week. It has been a downpour of Republican sex scandals. We must have chronicled over a hundred by now, including famous ones. it's usually the less famous ones that have the best stories. Like the state legislator who was probably wearing panties when he was voting against gay righ

Q: What's the difference between an honest queer, a sneaky queer, and a dishonest queer?
A: A NAMBLA member, a Democrat that hasn't bothered to come out of the closet yet, and a Republican that hasn't gotten caught and thrown out of his political party yet - respectively.
Of course, honesty has never had much to do with heterosexual sex, either...

I'm sure that the Dems have their weirdos as well. The Republicans take the cake for hypocrisy, however. Screaming about gay marraige and family values. Politicians in general are a weird bunch. They seem to need the elections to prove their popularity. Really, I don't think they can seriously like themselves. And so few of them say what they really think.
One of my greatest fantasies: Science discovers the gene for political behavior and we zap it out of the human genome. We can replace all those elected officials with statemen, thinkers, real citizens. How's that for a dream?

"Science discovers the gene for (political) behavior and we zap it out of the human genome."
Scary Thought!

Pleeeeeeze, don't say that repubs are scraming about gay marriage and family values. Say a vocal minority, and we will give you the same respect.

Though humorless, I wonder how Cheney can stand for so much venom against gays knowing it must hurt his own daughter.
These people are very strange indeed, to go on public rampages against behaviors they participate in. We do need integrity and Republicans seem to represent none. Why is Craig still there? Go away. We don't care if you are gay or not but you are coniving a$$hole. Get TF out!

Joe,
In the words of Harry S Truman;"I never give anyone Hell,I just tell the truth and they think it's Hell!!!"
Bottom line: You can't fight facts,so you accuse the opposition of what your team has done ad nauseum...smearing...
Your constant lies are being documented,as are those of your NeoConArtist co-enablers of Treason against the Constitution of the United States...Have a nice gay...err...day...

Umm. You're wrong. Republicans are the ones with a much worse public image.
I would rather be proud of who I am than a self loathing hypocrite.
And yes I am talking to you Joe.
And I don't need to smear anyone. Telling the truth is not smearing. Telling a lie (like Anne Richards is a drunk lesbian-George W. Bush) over and over until people start to question it is a smear.
Understand now?

The Republican Sexcapades and the media are reminiscent of the antics of 3rd graders in elementary school. The only big diffence is: they are now running our country. Time to throw the bums out.

That article is extremely biased and weak on the truth. When are the Democrats going to think about the minor little fact that as they bash a Republican for doing these things they embrace a Democrat and praise their forward thinking. When will they understand that that makes them hypocrites.

It's a yin and yang thing. Extremes become their opposites.
When I see/hear a red-faced demagogue SO publicly outraged by indecency and lewdness and the erosion of family values, I know it is only a matter of time before he is caught having carnal congress with a (dead) chicken, or doing something else quite beyond the pale.

Natureboy, I gave you a good vote just for using the phrase, carnal congress.
Now that's illiteration.

They're not the ones standing on a soap box proclaiming to be squeaky clean and the morality police...that would Mark "Fond of Fellas" Foley, Larry "Happy Feet" Craig, and so many other "Family Values" party perverts who've been caught a** out in the past 6 yrs.

It's an attempt to hide in plain site, like the perves who decide to become priests because they have access to little kids and would never be suspected (till recently). Hypocrites need to be purged, period.

If they would come on out of the closet and run honestly as the Let's Get Laid party, I'd give them a serious look. :)

Klarissa: I'm sorry your husband had to work in a munitions plant when he was sixteen. That is not what a young man his age should have to do. I was in high school playing sports, working, mucking out stalls, and learning a disappearing trade. I can still rope and ride, saddle my own horse and take care of it. I was also getting ready to go to Vietnam. Not the easy life of the teenagers today no video games. My dad grew up in the depression so you better work by God. There was always work to do. Not complaining just illustrating the differences in generations.

Taken as a whole, Republicans have campaigned in the past & used that as a theme. For those who violated these values while at the same time cheating on their spouses with a man or woman, they are hypocrites. For those doing other perverted things, they are hypocrites. Many were however faithful to their message. Having said that, ask yourself why that theme would have any meaning, any value in winning an election. It only has some impact when the Democrats are perceived as not having family values. How did we reach that point? I suspect it was due to the unsavory things they were caught doing. Not all of them mind you, but sufficient numbers to make it believable. It was unfair and a dirty campaign tactic on the part of the Republicans to do this. Now we hear about Republican perversions. Is it payback time? Probably so. The Democrats are using the same broad brush to unfairly label all Republicans. It was unfair before as it is now. There's hypocrites in both parties.
