2 Families Have Run This Country For 20 Years - Enough! »
Posted by: namecritic 7 months, 2 weeks agoFor 24 years now, 2 families have controlled the white house. If Hillary Clinton wins the presidential election, that is a possible additional 8 years. The Bush family has young members of their family also ready to run for president soon. That could add another 8 years.

It even appears to me that the Clinton's may be grooming Chelsea for political office, as seen here: http://politics.propeller.com/story/2007/12/31/...

I couldn't agree more. Look at all the trouble dynasties have caused everywhere else in the world. Look at the trouble this two-family dynasty has already wrought here. No thanks.

I think a radical change is needed. I've been reading up on Ron Paul a little bit. I think he's worth a look. He seems to know what is undermining our country. If he doesn't have an "accident" for speaking the truth, I think he would do some good. I'd write "anythings better than bush" but most of the candidates offered work for the same masters. How can we keep corruption out of the elections? Maybe, if we are stuck with candidates that we KNOW are just going to perpetuate what we've already got, we as a country, could just not vote. Would that send a message that we really don't want anymore of what they're selling? That it's time to start listening to what the American People want, not what the corporations want. It's the people that support this country. The wealthy don't pay taxes here. Not like the working man. Just my thoughts...Peace Okay...Fleece Me!! :)

You folks like to get sucked into right wing BS to correlate and equate the Clintons to the Bushies? There is a big difference when Bill left office with a 65% approval rating while Dumya sets new dismal approval ratings. Don't fall victim to the right wingers unfounded condemnations of Hillary... they do it out of shear fear of her!

I approved of the job Bill did. I didn't care for the affair with Monica. But that should have been left between him, his wife and God. It was not the National diasater the lying Republicans made it out to be. How many of them were doing the same thing or worse?
That said. I don't want Hillary she has shown she would follow in some of Bushes biggest mistakes such as Iraq. We need to get the hell out of there and put our forces around in a strategic quick strike force for areas that threaten us or world peace. Not remain tied down in Iraq for oil.
Just my opinion.

the post had nothing to do with right or left wing. It had to do with dynasties threatening democracy. Nepotism is a bad thing.

Totally right donald51, there couldn't be a bigger difference between the Clintons and the Bushes. Compare the surplus that Clinton left with the draining of the treasury that Bush undertook. And, that's just for starters.

The Clintons passed the highest priority of getting the terrorists to Dumya and Condi, while Dumya was too busy just being on vacation until awakended by the reality of 911. Yes, there is a big differnece and the right doesn't want you to know so!

I've spend my entire life, except the month of December and a few days in November/January under a Clinton or a Bush. I sometimes like to joke that by the time Hillary leaves office that Jeb will take over and then we'll have Chelsea ready. After Chelsea the Bush twins. I'm just joking of course :D I don't think it will happen to be honest, but I'd hate to see Hillary win. To me she doesn't represent a uniting force, nor does Bush. I feel what we need right now is a uniting force even more then we need change. Then again it can be argued that the uniting force would be change, I suppose. But thats all I really have to say on this I suppose.

Good Raiderwall. I hadn't really thought about the dynasties until a person posted about it in a comment on one of my blogs.

Couple that with the trend of expanding presidential power as Bush has done and we are getting into very very dangerous territory here. Expanding presidential power while only 2 families run the country could lead to the destruction of democracy as we know it.
