Frank is one of the most fair minded individuals in the media. He kind of doesn't remind me of Propeller.

Frank Luntz is the same guy who did the Rigged Fox Focus Groups that used paid actors to pretend to be voters...

I wouldnt trust anything from this man, or this network in regards to focus groups ever again.... But don't take my word for it though, watch for yourself...

Also, people should check out the video Penn & Teller made about Frank Luntz. And see just how much of a liar he is.

Not rigged.

LUNTZ EXPLAINS HIS MYSTERY MAN

"Luntz said that he uses repeat participants by design. There should be a "bunch of people" who had been in prior focus groups, some of them participating as early as May of last year. "It allows me to see how people's opinion have changed over time," he explained. "I'm trying to isolate that moment that made the difference."

When asked about the charge that he'd used actors or plants, his already rapid speech accelerated: "That's ridiculous."

He's conducting a "study of human behavior" with his dial tests (a mechanism that registers viewers' moment by moment reaction) he said, not a traditional focus group. And if you "want to understand how people change their points of view, you have to ask them over time and multiple times. If you're goal is to study how opinions change over time, of course you've got to call them back."

WOW he even admits to PAYING these people to be in the focus groups... Yet another reason to distrust this man. Thanks for the headsup alpha

They pay people who sample Doritos too...people can accept money for their time without their opinion being "bought".

I've participated in a number of focus groups. The incentive is that you get paid, usually between $50 and $200 for 1-2 hours of your time. You get paid regardless of your opinion and it would defeat the whole purpose if they steered you one way or another.

Of course if you're paranoid your cae imagine all sorts of conspiracies involving paid focus groups.

Sorry, got to go with Aidenag on this one. Luntz is a professional manipulator. I'm not hating, but those videos were quite damning.

But I agree. Edwards would make a fine President. Obama would make a good VP. Then in 2012..Obama for Prez. :D

Did you like the video, jo? : )

It was going fine until that snot nose Hannity came on the screen. I was wishing at that instant I could reach into the monitor and squeeze his neck till his head popped like a pimple.

How very compassionate of you.

Yea, he gets on my nerves, too.

So just what is Luntz manipulating and for what reason?

Money.

Mark - I appreciate the education. What you don't realize is that Frank Luntz is paid to be a pollster. He designs the poll around whomever is paying him. As far as the Rigged Fox Focus Group, is that similar to a Planted Questioner CNN Debate Group? I agree with Penn & Teller about polls. They are only as accurate as the sample. Frank Luntz knew that going into choosing his career. Watch the presentation he did at Columbia, where he was considered a polling expert, on C-Span. He plays the game, but he does it because it's his job.

Oh, Luntz is a liar?

And Penn & Teller are as pure as the wind-driven snow?

Right!

Sorry for the neg Aidenag - hit the wrong button.

Luntz is a political polling prostitute who willingly sells his soul and talents to the highest bidder and though the title may claim it to be a "Democratic Focus Group" his paymaster is and has been the neocons for some time!

HA Ha Ha, a Democratic Focus Group funded by the Republicans.

=D

We're used to funding the Democrats.

I do remember you funding Kenneth Starr. =D

aka bribing, because yes, even many democrats have their price. It is just much higher than republicans - meaning the price for their integrity, not the total price being paid, which as anybody who has paid attention the last two decades knows has meant a mountain of govt handouts to Republicans and their cronies.

aka welfare by the hardworking Republican taxpayers.

I am more interested in the fact that in a state where Hillary was the only one on the ballot she only got 55% of the Democrat vote. That does not bode well in the General. Both Hillary, and Barak Hussein Obama are too liberal to be electable in November. What are the Democrats thinking?

avatar
Reply

I don't have a clue about what the dems are thinking, but Hillary has got to be aware of her baggage and her extremely HIGH negative ratings.

LOL-Why wouldn't we use a casino, aren't we "gambling" now:)

And you maybe would prefer another 'compassionate conservative' who will finish Bush's job of destroying this country both militarily and economically so that his buddies in some key industries can continue to reap obscene profits.

Democrats are thinking enough of that already. If we could have avoided the deficit spending by Reagan and every republican that followed him we would have little if any national debt compared to the almost 10 trillion we now have.

Don't read it will hurt your eyes.

you have to save your eyes to make sure you don't nominate McCain and to make sure you help spread whatever venom the Republicans will have against him, and then against the Democratic nominee. Because, after all, they know no other way.

Boy, will you people be confused if McCain gets the nomination..

They haven't built a bridge big enough for all of you to jump from!

So, when he gets nominated, whatever will you do. THAT would be the ULTIMATE "go to Hell george Bush" election in '08!!

If there is a hell, Bush belongs there, for pretending to be a Christian.

Mr CoffeeCake,

You believe we should all 'hate' George Bush?

Why, how 'CHRISTIAN' of you!

And BUSH is the pretender?

They shouldn't use casinos for caucus venues. They are disenfranchising all the gambling addicts in Nevada. How can you ask a man or a woman to go do their civic duty in a place that will lure them into their own personal demise? They wouldn't hold a caucus in a bar, or a tobacco plant. Why are they discriminating against gamblers? What are they afraid of? Not to mention they will be disenfranchising little old ladies with handbags full of nickels. They'll get in the door and then see the slots and that'll be it. How can they vote when they have a 1 in 1,484,395,599,494 chance of wining $1000? This is their retirement plan, how can you expect them to vote too? What kind of trick do the Dems think they are pulling here?

avatar
Reply

Good points on casinos. As we all know they have a tendency to use whatever they (dems and republicans) need to get elected. Ever noticed how they scream separation of church and state but they all speak at church services on the campaign trail?

avatar

That is what I am wondering about. Don't many states close the bars, at least while the balloting is going on. Chicago used to give the Homeless $2. bucks and a baloney sandwich, but they couldn't buy a drink until 7 PM. Now they give them $5.

avatar
Reply

They don't need to give you a bologna sandwich because you are so full of it you can give it out to the entire west coast.

avatar
Reply

Idaho has a no liqueur sales on election day law. Apparently there are six other states where that was a problem too.

avatar
Reply

Well I guess using the casinos to vote in are ok. Might as well get a clue to how the democrats will screw you out of your money first hand.

WOW I am so surprised! A neg from my favorite fan.
