Al Gore in 2008? Don't Bet Against It »
Posted By Nixie 8 months, 1 week ago in NewsEnter Al Gore. To be sure, at 1%, it's not like the punters really think he's going to win, but in this muddled campaign season, it's not as far-fetched as you might think. The idea of an open conventionââ;¬"and an opening for Goreââ;¬"is not so far-fetched for a few reasons.

"Unlike the general election, whereby a candidate wins all of California's electoral votes if he or she wins by a single vote, the Democrats allocate delegates to the national convention proportionally. So, if Hillary or Barack win 40% of the vote in primary after primary, they won't win a majority of delegates, and it's the candidate with a majority who wins the nomination, not the candidate with the most delegates."
Scary thought, isn't it?

The horror.
Well, at least we know he'd lose. Maybe he'd like to pick Kerry as his running mate.
It'd be like those old ventriloquist acts with the wooden dummy. Except how could we tell which one was the dummy? They both look like they're made of wood, neither one has a real personality, and they will both have George Soro's hand up their...back.

al wont run, that would take courage.
if al had courage he would have fought for his presidency in 2000. he would have pointed out that the constitution says the state has the only authority in deciding who its electors are.
but instead he quit after his first defeat

People around here where I live complain about high gasoline and other fuel prices. Would they really vote for Algore who would immediately place high taxes on fuel? In 2000, or thereabouts, we were paying a bit over 1 dollar for gas, but Algore suggested we place taxes on gas so that it would cost 5 dollars a gallon.

I believe it's really far fetched this close to Super Tuesday. What's going to happen? Is he suddenly going to charm the hell out of us and get his name at the top? Highly unlikely. And if he does I certainly won't vote for him.

Anybody thinking Al Gore for president had better go and spend some time with Britany Spears because they both need medical attention.
