Glenn played obstructionist for Bill Clinton during the Chinagate hearings chaired by Fred Thompson
If you watched them on C-Span, his behavior was absolutely appalling
I came away from watching the hearings thinking that this once great American had sold his country out for a chance at personal glory - his reward was a trip on the Space Shuttle
Maybe he wants another ride

Barack Obama defined the issue correctly when he said, "It's the past against the future." Now another figure from the past has joined the candidate of the past--John Glenn supports Hillary Clinton.
Sen. Glenn retired a decade ago. Sen. Clinton would do well to follow his fine example.

He's not an ancient hero, he's an eternal hero. John Glenn will always symbolize the future and represent the best of humanity, its drive to exceed it's limitations, and its desire to explore. Long after names like Clinton, Bush, and even Obama are dust, Glenn and the other Mercury Seven astronauts will epitomize the best and boldest humanity has to offer.
I have yet to see Barack Obama even attempt to push out the envelope. All his policy proposals sound like every other Democrats'. His greatest claim is he can make everyone get along. Once you get past his soaring speech making, he's very vanilla.

Hillary cannot win Ohio, because she is the wrong color. Barak has Super star quality, and no experience. Hillary has the experience, but no super star quality. With Democrats it is about how you feel. I looked at Barak's crowd last night. You would have thought he was Elmer Gantry. They were mostly women, young, and all agog over the bronz guy.

An ani, you could just as easily substitute "Republicans" for "Democrats" in your post above, or almost any human group, as all people are susceptible to charisma.
And I'm not sure Obama's bronze, really, What about cafe-au-lait? Greige? Sand-at-Dusk?

we are heading in a very scary direction when you consider obama, clinton, mccain OR huckabee.
you can thank the media giants for controlling the show and bringing out the WORST this country has to offer.

So, eco, what counts is that someone "look like a president"?
But what does a president look like, exactly? White? Middle-aged? Male?
Tall? Not too heavy. Not bald, certainly.
I believe the point of the rather remarkable thing that's happening now in American politics is that it's actually possible to envision a president who doesn't answer at all to the above description.
So let's put retrograde "looks like" criteria aside, shall we?

That's because we're pathologically obsessed with race. It makes no sense to me either that Obama is referred to as black (or Afro-American) either; in a better world he'd be seen and described, if at all, as someone of mixed-race ancestry.

there is a well documented book written by jerome corsi, PhD that I ran across. "The Late Great USA"
there are the govt. "fluff" sites to try to convince the masses how wonderful it will be to have imported slave labor, chinese imports and services out the yang, a 4-football field wide highway being built as I type to bring in trucks and truckers from mexico to process the imports from china, who have no mind for safety, ...

My friend wrote me the other day and said that the reason why the Republicans were engaging in an all out smear campaign against HC is because she's voted the most likely to put them all in prison for their war crimes and corruption.
She's probably right. While most of Congress voted to censure Albeto Gonzalez for his amazing ability to be the US's wost AG, Obama was silent. Obama has also been silent on a number of other bills that would directly oppose the current administration's level of corruption and opposition to basic civil rights.
There has to be a better way. The last 7 years had deeply cut into our civil rights, the Bill of Rights and allowed a mass of corrupt thieves to plunder the US treasury. Millions of dollars in the "war" were spent on nonexistent or poor quality goods and services. The question is not, who is going to win, but who is going to have the guts to stop this nonsense.

In the greater scheme of things, this was a post about an inconsequential endorsement which allowed us to once again vent our anger over the process in which we have no control. The primaries are there to placate the masses. The Democratic nominee will be selected by the super delegates not the people. The tentacles of corruption extend far beyond Washington.

I don't think Glenn's endorsement will be enough fuel to rocket Hillary passed Obama's out of this world popularity. TRULY, Glenn is probably out in orbit to think otherwise, not realizing the gravity of the situation, that Hillary is now in uncontrollable free-fall, destined to possibly come crashing back down to earth...hard.
