"The President has said that American lives will be sacrificed if Congress does not change FISA. But he has also said that he will veto any FISA bill that does not grant retroactive immunity.
No immunity, no FISA bill. So if we take the President at his word, he's willing to let Americans die to protect the phone companies."
Pretty simple, and plain as day! Bush had a lobotomy.

Olberman called Bush a fascist and a liar. I agree! He is. If Congress continues to do the right thing and call his bluff, he will be found to be irrelevant as well. Can you say "lame duck"?

What is even more amusing to me is the same Republicans that are accusing the Democrats (with a few honestly conservative Republicans) of betraying the U.S., would be saying: "See the Democrats are spineless," if they had passed it.

We have Alqaeda threatening retaliation for the death of one of their leaders, and the Democrats shutting down our Intelligens system, because they are in a snit. They better hope to hell there is not another attack while they vacation next week, or they might just as well disband for all the support they will get in November.

  No intelligence systems were shut down. If they need to tap a phone, etc there are ample methods to do it. It just has to be done legally. Something Bush and I suspect yourself avoid. Appears that Bush & co don't like being held accountable for anything. Remember, 911 was Clinton's fault.
