Democrats like the Clintons. It isn't that they don't. At this point we all have to realize that Obama has run by far the best campaign. This makes the arguement that he isn't experienced enough seem disingenuous. After all Hillary does have the a very seasoned political machine behind her and is really experienced in the art of campaigning. Yet Senator Obama has managed to win 10 in a row now by significant margins. It's not just that he won, it's how he won. In every demographic imaginable. He describes himself as "a postpartisan leader, someone who can get things done outside the bickering of Washington Democrats and Republicans."
Independents and under 30 voters are supporting him 4 to 1.

I don't dislike the Clinton's either. I respect Hillary Clinton's background & her intelligence. From my perspective, watching this play out, she got caught up in the 'old' ways of politics & didn't notice how fed up Americans are with those old ways. She isn't listening to the people. Obama is. He realizes we don't want any more of the nonsense we've endured for three decades. It's ugly. We're sick and tired of ugly.

Watching the post primary speeches last night it occurred to me that the BIGGEST difference between Obama and Clinton is that Obama conveys the message that:
The movement is not about HIM, but about his supporters.
Hillary's campaign is ALL Hillary (with a little Bill too).
I too, respect Hillary's intelligence and fortitude, but she simply doesnt seem to represent me the way I want to be represented.

I was up until 2AM watching his speech in Houston. I have to tell you the only thing that can stop this guy are whom he picks to govern with him, and us not giving him a congress that has the nations best interest in mind be it DEMS or GOP.
He is dead on with the thinking of the American people, and Hill isn't. I feel the way I did about Bill, when I listen to this guy, he gets it. He really understands what made this nation Great and what it will take to put us back there.
A Concession: I have to say I am shocked, I was quick to say that white America was not ready for a black man running the nation. It seems I might have made a mistake and in doing so, I should say I was wrong, and apologize to all of white America!

I don't hate either Clinton. I have a great deal of respect for Hillary's lifetime of public service and for her drive and intelligence. But, as Jordan11 says, I don't like her tendency toward politics as us vs. them. And the thought of 4 or 8 more years with Bill living unoccupied in the White House terrifies me. I just KNOW what would happen.

yes. all the "experience" in the clinton camp hasn't added up to squat. and obama sure does look like he knows what he's doing.
McCain has also run a very poor campaign to the point of going broke. if there were any quality candidates on the right in these primaries who also knew how to runa campaign, McCain would've dropped out by now.
so much for the politicians with "experience"

B. Hussien Obama is personally impressive. Gives a great 'get me fired up' speech. I was just wandering if anyone could give me a heads up on any significant bills he has sponsered while in Congress? What has he done for our country since he has been in office? As I said, he is impressive on stage, but......... 'link' me up on some real info please. Maybe I'll get turned on by the 'movement'?

I believe there are two main reasons Obama has overtaken Clinton. The first is Obama has always appeared sincere about wanting change for Americans more than his desire for personal glory, unlike Hillary and Bill. Hillary has appeared too desperate from the get-go.
The second is the most interesting to me. How can the Clinton team expect to defeat Obama by using Republican campaign tactics? Their campaing advisors still believe that when all else fails, slinging the mud will work. The politics of smear has been on the outs for some time. The Clintons have lost more supporters by this than anything else.

I was offended by her comment that she was "...proud of her country for the first time." If she hates America, that explains why she married a Muslim.

I'm offended by jmopinion's racist post and by DropkickaLib's lie claiming Mr. Obama, a devout Christina, is a Muslim. New Republican to the core.
The GOP has been hijacked by a den of thieves and propagandists. I used to be a Republican. The GOP better reinvent itself. We can't stand a long stretch of single-party rule, and right now there is no viable alternative to voting for the Democrats.
