On the stump, Sen. John McCain often cites his work tackling the excesses of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff as evidence of his sturdy ethical compass. A little-known document, however, shows that McCain may have taken steps to protect his Republican colleagues from the scope of his investigation.

An article the other day said that McCain subpoenaed 750,ooo documents from Abramoff that could implicate a lot more Repugs... and why many didn't chose to run against him! McCain is not releasing them and should!

Actually, many Demorats took Abramoff money also, Rep. Alan Mollihan from West Virginia for example. He kept the money after the scandal broke, while Rep. Shelly Moore Capito, the Republican member of the state's Congressinal delegation, returned it. Oddly enough, the investigations into Dems appear to have made little progress...hhhmmm.

That Democratic sympathizer, Attorney General Mukasey and his band of lefties in the Justice Department are thwarting good old Republican justice yet again. Riiight.

Why does the media insisting on framing McCain as Saint McCain the maverick, the enemy of lobbyists, anti-corruption and champion of the little guy?
The facts tell a completely different story.
If you want more of the same then vote for more of the same.

Ah now comes the time to attack McCain, so goes it with politics. Too bad you fine folks will throw a fit if someone even thinks about looking into something connected with Saint BHO. Hell I'd bet you'd call people racists for soing that and even talk nonsense that we are planning to kill him or some insanity like that.

Another Bush in the making for 2008. Scandal, lies, deception and protecting criminal elements in Republican Party.
It is another Bush 4 years all over again if the country is not careful to dump this hypocrite.
When the economy is crumbling, this idiot still talks about how he will fix Iraq.

Jim Jones,,, wow even though that sounds out there Ghost I can see why you'd make that leap.
He's very Charismatic and the loyal seem to be loyal unto doing about anything. I talked to one of my Democrat friends from Ohio that told me her Democrat mother was worried that Obama may be the Anti-Christ.
Seeing how the world is and how the Bible said that someone would show up as a 'savior' then rain evil on the world once in power. No I can't go there it's just too much to consider. I'm leaning more towards the Jim Jones guess.

McCain is the evil offspring of a Dubya/Billary mating.
The power thirst of Hillary.
The moral/ethical respect for life & the middle class of Dubya.
The libido of Bill.
Four more years of the cumulative worst of the twenty years.

Morning Jordan. If you believe that this is too much, better wear ear plugs because it's only going to get worse.
McCain is even worse than Le Muffette and a bigger liar. Shrillery regardless of her attempts to duck and hide is just as bad. Have you forgotten the scandals she was involved in?
Obama just another cult leader and isn't qualified to lead a Nation. I recommend you visit his church in Chicago before the next election. You'll see for yourself what their agenda really is.

I find people's 'agenda's' by reviewing the information on how they've led their lives. Obama is fine with me. Clinton has done a lot for others as well, but I'm more leery about her political affiliations. McCain, well McCain speaks for himself. The man is not fit at all to be president.

Ghost, please tell us why 7 years of Repug instigated investigations of these supposed scandals never produced anything? And, the one thing that the repugs finally cued on, a relationship between two consenting adults, saw Hillary still stick by her man! Ghost, you are full of it!
Don't you remember Newt's Contract With America lies and his creating and distributing a list of derogatives for all his Repug buddies to use whenever addressing a Dem? Selective neglect of Repug evils and then putting the evils on dems... nothing changes with you corrupt, evil people!

How did he roll over on water boarding? He doesn't want chaos in the wake of a rapid withdrawl. That doesn't make him a warmonger. The tip of Demoratic corruption is being covered up by the Dem leadership faster than a cat in a litter box. Maybe the new documents will expose more cash funneled to Reid, Daschle and Gephardt.

Mc Cain is a war monger. he is supported by the same people that got us into the war in Iraq, and want to attack Iran. It's no coincendence that Joe Lieberman is one of his handlers, as well as the other neocons. McCain wil say and do anything to become prez. He denounced Falwell and his cons until he needed them. Now he claims to be one of them. Can you say flip-flop?

Drop, so ignorant of the real facts... I am starting to feel sorry for your delusional state! How in the world did you get this way? Do you just listen to Rush Limbaugh and Faux Fox Facts? Is your Daddy beating these lies and deceptions into your brain daily?

Those are facts available in newspaper articles published when the Abramoff scandal broke. Do a web search. If you don't know that prominent Dems received Abramoff money, then you've been poorly informed regarding the issue.
McCain wasn't my choice but claims like this are untrue. McCain wants a successful conclusion to the war but I don't remember him cheering about it when it started. He does support policies in Iraq that appear to be working. The dramatic decline in violence in Iraq is a fact...a fact that the Dems avoid discussing like the Plague.
Hater = Liberal term used to demonize Conservatives. Meant to intimidate into submission to Liberal orthodoxy.

Actually NO Democrats took money DIRECTLY from Abramoff....
New York Times reporter Anne E. Kornblut falsely stated that Democrats accepted campaign contributions from indicted former lobbyist Jack Abramoff. In fact, according to the Center for Responsive Politics (here and here), only Republicans received contributions directly from Abramoff.
Appearing on the December 16 edition of MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews, Kornblut falsely claimed that Abramoff had given contributions to Democrats. Yet a Media Matters for America search of the Center for Responsive Politics database of campaign contributions did not find any contributions from Abramoff to Democrats or Democratic leadership political action committees.
