is there anyone in congress who is even able to speak to this story, much less do anything about it?

this article describes the likelihood of another massive war crime that no one in government can claim ignorance of nor claim that they were deceived by others.

these days are as dark as five years ago.

      3. Israeli airstrike on Syria: Israel's airstrike deep in Syria

An alternative scenario floating in Israel and Lebanon is that the real purpose of the strike was to force Syria to switch on the targeting electronics for newly received Russian anti-aircraft defenses.

Not likely. No need. What is being stated here is the "wild weasel" operations.

Those aren't done any more. Not by pilots that is. Israel developed a drone called a "harpy" that fills that roll. They fly in formation given the "appearance" of a squadron on attack. When they get painted the drone becomes a high speed missile straight down the radar signal.

The USA version is called "Cutlass"

There are a hand full in both the Senate and House, but their voices are being ignored. None of the candidates are addressing this issue either. I would hazard a guess that they are more concerned about being the C-in-C than in anything else.

        4. Warships off Lebanon: Two U.S. warships took up positions off Lebanon earlier this month, replacing the USS Cole.

Nothing new here. We have battle groups on cruises all the time all over the world since 1945. Odds are we got a boomer off the coast as well.

I truely hope that he is not intending to start a war in Iran! I wish that I could say that it would be a surprise, if he does!

        Thanks berkeley!

Hey, I thought John McCain addressed it:

          "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran."

You know you guys crack me up with your talk of impeachment. What is the actual charge. I mean the real one, not DNC talking points. What are the actual laws Bush has broken?

Two reasons for no war with Iran:

            1) No money

            2) No troops

With his inimitable "Heckuva job Brownie" reasoning, those reasons should be powerful enough to convince George to go ahead and start a war on a third front. He's a war starter. Have to leave it to others to clean up the mess and win the wars he starts.

No Money or Troops... and you think this will slow or stop the Bush administration HOW?

Bush knows he only has to START day one of a war with Iran, not "plan" for what happens after day one or day one hundred, or one thousand. Just like the currently well planned and well administrated Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Unfortunately logic often doesnt enter into this when your dealing with Cons who tend to look at things thru blood colored glasses. If they smell profit they will push for a draft.
