    FTA

"No one had to be in church the day Wright made his inflammatory and obscene remarks to know about them.

The cable news journalists who are playing the tapes of those sermons were not there. The tapes were on sale in the church itself. Obama knew that because he had bought one or more of those tapes.

But even if there were no tapes, and even if Obama never heard from other members of the church what their pastor was saying, he spent 20 years in that church, not just as an ordinary member but also as someone who once donated $20,000 to the church.

There was no way that he didn't know about Jeremiah Wright's anti-American and racist diatribes from the pulpit.

Someone once said that a con man's job is not to convince skeptics but to enable people to continue to believe what they already want to believe."

I read Thomas Sowell religiously. He makes so much sense. Several Presidents have ased him to serve, but he thinks he does more good educating the rest of us. He is right about Obama. I am sure his readers will agree.

                  Obama on Don Imus.

He said that his comments were so offensive that they made him sick. He also said that had Imus worked for him he would fire him and that he hopes nbc does fire Imus.

He said this at the same time Wright was working for his campaign.

I think that pretty much sums everything up.

Now tang, you are jumping to conclusions. We really don't know that Obama heard of Rev. Wrights wacko sermons. After all, Obama only attended the church for a scant 20 years. Really, how much can you learn about a preacher's opinions in the pulpit when you only get to listen to him for say, 1,000 times or so. Imus on the other hand, Obama probably heard a few times and he immediately knew how wrong Imus was.

Can you imagine if Obama is elected, and takes 20 years to determine if something is good or bad for America?

Truth is, Obama is caught between the rock and the hard place. There are those who state that his recent speech tackled racism head on. Were they watching the same speech? Obama was side-stepping hard facts. How can he accuse Imus and accept Wright? Talk about a racist and a bigot. Obama is right up there. Is it true he is thinking of Louie Farrakhan for VP?

Obama is a living example that the old saying "Once you have learned to fake sincerity you have got it made" really is true.

I was talking with my husband about this subject. He was in Gemany in the 1930s. He said it reminded him of the herding instinct. People don't want to be left out of the group, which was part of Hitler's appeal. When one person cheered, others did too. Pretty soon they were all cheering ( like clapping when someone blows their nose.)

It becomes a heady atmosphere, and easy to get caught up in it.

You've hit the nail on the head and it was the first thing about Obama that scared me.

Tom Sowell would be a good mentor for anyone. Obama chose Wright.

                          Another consideration of Obama's campaign.

We know that McCain and Hillary can handle stress quite well.

Obama had a difficult time in High school and College dealing with the stress. This may be a real problem for him when things don't go as expected or if he feels he can't quite handle the heat.

Bush is not running for president!!!!!!!!!1

We want change, and not any change positive change.

Lets look at the democratic race til now. We have Bill making racist remarks, we have Ferriro making racist remarks. We have Hillary going to court in the sommer, * by the way still NO tax forms. We have Obamas close friend before court. We have this so called rev. damning America , honoring the racist Farrakan, and making racist remarks. We have Obama denying such this preached when he was there on one day and admitting it on another. We have Obamas wife stating until now she was never proud of anything in America.

We see a party that has not even been able to run a democratic election correctly without scandle {Florida, MI}.

20 years of poor judgement, exposing ones children to such hate speech.

Why do we not seem to have such scandles about race from Colon Powell, and Rice..

They have arose above color and have proved they are more intelligent to let the color stamp hold them back. Then again they are republicans.
