Politics – The social networks talk for themselves, Look at todays headlines: Report: Most Americans Glum on Financial Progress Middle class grow fearful about their prospects Joe Biden On Iraq: Staying Is "Killing Us" It is you complaining, then take your chance to change it.
Thanks for the headline Stephen,,, I did notice that Ron Paul did not even get the coverage that received other Political Candidates... It is quite clear that is not the Big Dogs choice... but maybe for the next period people will be more mature to make this change,,, if it is not too late

I would not vote for him. While I do agree with him somewhat on his foreign policy ideas and on his support for the bill of rights and his support of the bill of rights, other than those issues, He is nothing but a far right republican. I lost a lot of the respect for him when he signed on as a co-sponsor of the lie-filled HR 888
bruhaha-
check this video out:

Ron Paul is a real American. are you???
and then compare that with Obama asking some lame a** things from Petreaus... Obama you have been exposed.
While I agree with Ron Paul on his views on the war, the patriot act and other select issues, I am not a one- or two-issue voter. His other views on regulation, government, etc I do not agree with. I will not fall into the trap of supporting him only because he opposes the war.
He is a supporter of the lies of christian nationalists, and that is something I cannot support.
Well, clearly he is not for you... I just wonder where did you get your ideas of: "He is a supporter of the lies of christian nationalists"
H.R. 888: Business Travel Facilitation Act of 2007
Sponsor: Rep. Gregory Meeks [D-NY]

I don't see anything about xian nationalism here. Am I missing something?
Ron Paul's bill sponsorships for the 110th Congress:
OK, that's H.RES 888, not HR 888. It's merely a resolution and of no real importance to me. If it tried to actually legislate that crap, there would be a definite problem. I do, however, see how you could have a problem with it.
Either way, I would not support Ron Paul. As a I said before, while I do agree with him on a few thimg, I disagree with him on a majority of his beliefs.
Where I started to lose respect (while disagreeing with him, he seemed like a principled politician, holding firm to his interpretation of the constititution) was his assertion that the constitution was "replete with references to god" (God is only mentioned once in the constitution) in his statement after co-sponsoring H. Res 888. Started to make me wonder if he has ever actually read the constitution.
Also, even if this resolution is "meaningless" and he is just doing this to gain further supporters, how is he any different from other politicians.
ok Ron Paul did not cosponsor hres 888 either:
http://forbes.house.gov/uploadedfiles/HRES888_F... Footnoted Version.pdf
find his name on hres 888 and i will believe you.
Actually, bruhaha is correct on this one. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d110:HE...
HRES 888 had 83 cosponsors, Paul being one of them.
HR 888 summary from wickepedia:

Defines "business facilitation visitor" as an alien visiting the United States temporarily to: (1) provide services pursuant to a qualifying services contract; or (2) provide management or technical training to, or receive management or technical training from personnel of a U.S. entity. Sets forth conditions with respect to: (1) provision of services; and (2) provision or receipt of management or technical training. ...
( continued )

Prohibits such aliens from changing nonimmigrant status or adjusting to immigrant status.
Authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to prohibit business facilitation entries from a country whose nationals have engaged in a pattern of fraud involving visas or other immigration matters.
I would vote for him, but I think if Ron Paul did get into the presidency, he would be made an example of in much the same way that Kennedy was. Nobody can stop what this country has become. The greed will have to cause it's own collapse. And just like Nazi Germany, everybody will pay for this government's actions. The outlook is grim.
Not trying to correct a mistake through peaceful means and by electing those who would actually get it done; instead of just giving up is the worst kind of cowardice.
If Ron Paul isn't afraid of what may, or may not happen to him, why should I be? Do you think Kennedy, or King, believed that they should just curl up, and be fearful that they might get shot because of their attempts to change the policies of a corrupt and evil system?
Paul doesn't want to run your life, he just wants the United States to be what it can be and what it should be.
I think we need to support Obama. Helping Ron Paul get the Republican nomination would be the worst thing we could, especially if Hillaronch wins the Democrat nomination.
Obama does not have the experience nor the knowledge necessary to bring our country back to status. He is a member of the CFR. and he proposes billions in aid to other countries...when we need URGENT help right here at home.
Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel are the candidates that should have been given their just time and exposure. they were cut from the media focus. we never got to see the value these 3 could bring to the table.
I disagree with you digital! (but, I respect your opinion and I refuse to use that negative button)
The public is asleep in the voting booth. They will not vote, nor write in a name of the best man for the job. Instead they will vote for more of the same. A pity really. They fail to see that continuing down the road we are on will only prolong the disaster waiting at the end of the road.
Links to truth go unwatched, voting records on issues ignored, wise attempts to enlighten fall by the wayside, and any attempt to educated is laughed at. Yet we and several million keep trying to shine a light into the darkest corners of the human cranium.
Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel have explained time and time again everything that is happening now a long time ago and still try to get the changes that are needed but still most people won't listen, nor do most even attempt to find out the truth.
Which of the front runners has introduced bills to impeach the idiots in power? Bet your arse it isn't any so called electable idiot.
GO RON PAUL.
It is appalling to me that so many people are sucked into the idiocy promulgated by the "magic box" in the living room. Do we hear the phrase "honest, decent, patriot" applied to Dr. Paul? No -- we hear "radical right" and "kooky old guy." I must be a kooky old guy too because a lot of what he says makes sense to me. Unlike any of the "main" candidates - who might have a smoother media presentation, but don't have the CONTENT.
The country IS in trouble, and it DOES need to get "back on track." Hillary, Barry, John ... NONE of them really has a good, solid plan for that. They get on a stump and promise a basket of goodies (but don't say who will PAY for it) and the idiots in the audience glaze over and reach out for that basket. SURPRISE - it's full of mouse traps.

"I would encourage every American to make a donation to his presidential campaign."
Paul is no longer running for president of the US - he's running to retain his congressional seat.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/03...
"Paul indicated that the 2008 presidential campaign portion of his revolution is over.
An earlier version of this report indicated that Paul would "drop out" of the race. In the video, Paul did not use the words "drop out," opting instead to say the campaign is "winding down," and he encourages supporters to still cast votes for him. But he referred to his campaign in the past tense."
stephen-
he's still in the race. and I am voting for RON PAUL OR NOT AT ALL!
he won the congressional seat already. update!
Stephen, he is still in the presidential race, he has won his congressional seat a month ago. He may not win even if McCain croaks but he is changing the GOP single handedly and i would vote for him even if i were the only one to do so. All you Obama and McCain lovers should take a look at Ron Paul just for a few minutes and ask yourselves some hard questions...
Too hard :)
It's good to see his name somewhere . The traditional press has oblitorated him .
