Oh come on now libs, they made up their minds, both groups. Then have no trouble making up their minds, they simply can't agree on one of the two. And I'll have to admit that although the Republicans have made up their minds, I'm not happy with the decision, but at least the candidate issue is settled on the right, while the left continues to cannibalize itself, watching these two try to destroy each other is interesting. Wonder when they'll figure out when one of them is finally picked their opponent will be from the other party.

      um, go to:

      http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/pr...

you will see that Obama is clearly ahead.

the RCP avg. has him up nearly 8 points.

      and...

a 1 point spread? that's a statistical tie. but in three other polls, Obama is ahead by 10 points or more.

so, go ahead. keep saying he can't win. keep saying he's unelectable. keep saying whatever you want. it only seems to help Obama.

Libs, what's the date of your poll? On 4/17 Gallup shows Obama 47% and Clinton 44%. That's from pollingreport.com, which shows all the polls individually.

I don't think Howard Dean is looking forward to the convention

Top Hillary Fundraisers Rip Into Howard Dean For Saying Super-Dels Should Announce Support "Starting Now"

Two of Hillary Clinton's most prominent fundraisers tore into Howard Dean in interviews with me today, sharply criticizing the DNC chair for saying yesterday that super-delegates should say which Dem candidate they support "starting now."

"Governor Dean should do what he has said he will do -- refrain from injecting himself into the primary process, as millions of Democrats have yet to cast their votes," Hillary national finance chair Hassan Nemazee, one of the most influential fundraisers in the Democratic Party, told me today.

The 20% lead was from one poll in PA only. That particular group has been far off the mark in every poll they have done in this election

Remember that the next time you see Bush's "approval" ratings, which are conducted via a poll. Also keep in mind Congressional approval ratings consistently rank lower than the President's.

The Democrat Party is screwing themselves. By picking the most far left guy they have had since McGovern apparently they haven't learned there lesson. Imagine a 28% tax on capital gains, idiotic!

The republicans picked the best candidate for the general election a middle of the roader like McCain. The Dems led by the Moveon, Huffington, DailyKos crowd will probably pick the guy most aligned with there views. What a monumental miscalculation. All the middle of the roaders belong to McCain. Not even Dem centrists can stomach Obama. I predict a victory of Nixonian proportions for McCain. An 18,000,000 vote landslide like Nixon's may not be possible but it might be close tp that.

Apparently Rush Limbaugh is still pushing Operation Chaos but in a new direction. A friend of mine was listening when he started the new pitch. I found the transcript on his website

"This is all the evidence that you need to hear that Operation Chaos is working. They have to end this. Now, yesterday, I made my own pitch to the superdelegates of the Democrat party, as we initiated the doomsday phase of Operation Chaos, and it is clear after this debate in Philadelphia on Wednesday night that neither of these two can get elected. Obama is falling apart before our very eyes. The messiah characteristics of Barack Obama have been obliterated, and he has been revealed to be nothing more than your average politician who hasn't yet acquired the experience sufficient to let him get away with all the lies that he tells.

Mrs. Clinton is known by enough people that half the country hates her. They cannot win. So my pitch to the superdelegates, "You've got to get rid of these two. Somehow you have got to come up with a third candidate if you hope to win."

How many superdelegates haven't even been named yet? Answer 64, 65. Howard Dean wants the superdelegates to vote now. Almost 10% of them haven't been named. Chairman Dean, you and the other white guys had better realize that Hillary Clinton is not -- by the way, he wants them to vote now to get Obama nominated. That's his whole point, just end this. There's no way he can be saying this now for the superdelegates to vote for Hillary.

Obama, Rezko, Auchi, and Ayers have a Palestinian rerrorist friend, a Mr Rashid Khakidi. They raised money for him. He has direct ties to the PLO. Right now hw is teaching in N Y, but he is a bad influence on a man who fancies himself President.

Don't forget Obama's Kenyan connection. Don't think they haven't added to his unusual accumulation of contributions.

Outspending Clinton 3 to 1 in Pennsylvania and still losing, I wonder what to donators are thinking about him uselessly spending their hard earned money. I wouldn't be surprised if they were getting "BITTER"

I began to notice this dip in Obama's numbers (according to Gallup at least) yesterday, when a poll showed Clinton closing Obama's lead to three points. This is quite a surge, but the question is, can she sustain it or is it a statistical blip?

I'm wondering if anyone on this board has ever been polled at all, much less just for this presidential cycle. With all the polling organizations, they must have gotten to at least one of us.

I've never been polled on how I planned to vote, but I have responded to 3 or maybe 4 other research polls over the past 10 years. One was for TV-watching habits and two were about topics that were important to me FOR an election, but not about any candidates specifically. It seems like there was another one, maybe about radio, but that's a bit foggy, maybe not.

Somehow, albeit elusive, the poster of this thinks it shows that McCain somehow benefits. That's really funny.

I think once the democrat ticket is decided we will see double digit leads over McCain.

I'm not sure where the poster got his story, but 12 hours ago shows Obama narrowing the lead in PA while maintaining a DOUBLE DIGIT lead nationally:

                            http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087...

Clinton is holding on to a narrow lead in Pennsylvania, according to the Bloomberg/Times poll and an April 17-18 Newsmax/Zogby tracking survey. Clinton received 47 percent support compared with 42 percent for Obama, the Zogby poll showed.

                            Newsweek Poll

Nationally, Obama held a 19 percentage point lead over Clinton in the latest Newsweek poll taken April 16-17, with support from 54 percent of registered Democrats to 35 percent for Clinton.

..translated: the die hard conservatives (15% of population) are scared of Obama, so they're making up false rhetoric. This is called Rove strategy.

It is only internal polls that count, because they ask the difficult questions. You can tell they are not good for Obama by the plea from the Deanster to wrap this Primary season up quickly. If neither of their fronrunners are getting anywhere near 50% after all we know about them, it does not bode well for the Democrats.
