You'd think the next election would be a no-brainer, 70% Democratic to 30% Republican. But it's going to be close, after all. If McCain had a strategy to end the Iraq war he would win!

It was inevitable after Cheneybush. But the damage from their malfeasance will last for generations- there will be no quick fix. No miracles. But a return to the rule of law, the constitution, the bill of rights, Habeas Corpus all will be returned overnight. The economy is another story, it took 50 - 60 years of an empowered middle class to create it, but only a few years of republican rule to loot it completely.

but libsr barely two months ago you said:
"I'm wondering to what extent dems are crossing over to get RINO McCain nominated. If he gets the repub nod, Dems can't lose the white house."
Hmmm...Once again, you're one of the biggest flip-flopping conjobs on Propeller. Why do you keep trying to forecast the future after you voted for Bush twice? This perplexes me... ;-)

There is probably no way Sen McCain could be elected President if he wasn't running against a Democrat. Obama is a joke. Everyday we discover more, and more about his secret past. By November his white Granny won't even vote for him.

Obama cannot eliminate a lady with almost as much baggage as he has, and he won't have the necessary 2025 delegates to win the nomination no matter how many more primaries he might win, and he might only win N C after his stupid remark about people clinging to guns, and God in hard times.

Agreed. Clinton would be easier to beat than Obama.
Most of this has to do with the effort to keep the Democrats divided. Limbaugh has said as much, going so far as to urge Republicans to switch party affiliations so they can vote for Hillary in the primary.
Historically speaking, the strategy is correct, if unspeakably filthy. When the candidacy is in bitter dispute at the time of the convention (regardless of the party), that party's candidate ends up losing the presidency.
I blame Clinton and her handlers for a lot of it. She knows the delegate math doesn't work. If she manages to convince the super-delegates she is the most 'electable' and thereby secures the nomination, there will be a huge backlash and charges of a 'stolen nomination', and bye-bye white house.

Except only you and a handful of lump's sockpuppets even bother to read that trash. It keeps you entertained though.
You haven't got anything remotely truthful to say about your own candidates, let alone one we know you seek to destroy.

Every one of the Republican Party`s juvenile attempts to call Obama names based on their mis-interpretations of things people around Obama said, turns around and bites them right in the arse.
Wright, would be amusing except that McCain`s Rev. Hagee is even worse, so every time you clowns try to beat that dead horse you just look worse.
Rezko, finally the trial you`ve been waiting all these weeks for in order to `get the dirt` on Obama, has also betrayed your smearing ways. The only dirt to come out of Rezco so far is that Rezco gave money to Bush who hasn`t given it back like Obama, Bush invited Rezco to dinner at the WH, and Rove actually illegally tried to obstruct justice in AG-Gate earlier than any one had believed before.
LMAO. Every thing you people do, just bites you in the arse. Ever wonder why God hates you so much? No?

"if he wasn't running against a Democrat?"
Well, what would be fair to run him against? A Tory? A Wig? A llama? (not fair; everyone loves llamas even obama's mama would vote for the llama).
McCain is a great guy; at Obama's Inaugural Ball, as the Dixie Chicks are playing Springsteen's 'Born to Run',
I will be the first to toast McCain's continued good health, since he is after all old really really old.

America is too smart to vote for a racist America hater like him. If the Dems knew at the beginning of the primaries what they do now about him he would be losing big time right now. We just found out about the "problems" with him too late for Hillary. McCain has all the dirt on him though.
Probably more to come too.

"America is too smart to vote for a racist America hater like him"
-I see...So they won't vote for Obama but they'll vote for the flip-flopping, Martin Luther King-hating, old-as-dirt McClame who denies health insurance to 10 million innocent American kids and votes against equal pay for women. ROTFLMAO. Do wingjobs EVER think before speaking or writing? I mean, we know they don't think before voting...

Let's see: McCain consistently votes against care for our veterans, gleefully accepts the endorsement of someone who hates gays and thinks Catholics are "The Great ******" and has personally stated that he will hate "gooks" forever.
Nice choice!

Repeating a lie over and over might make it true to your crowd, but most of us know this Bush tactic when we smell it!!

OK, so let me get this straight.
McCain himself has long held racist views, said racist things, and admits he does not have the emotional maturity to grow up and act presidential. McCain chases after and surrounds himself with bigots, racists, and hate-mongers for years, but thats ok because we all know that. McCain is openly chasing these people.
However, some guy who Obama has denounced and distanced himself from says something you construe as racist and all of a sudden OBAMA is a racist?!
Good lord the projection issues you people have!!

Where is your link to a credible source? Despite the spin you know what? We know what Obama was talking about, was he even wrong? You don't think there are bitter voters who long ago gave up hope of any decent representation in DC? There are not voters who can be manipulated into believing candidate B is out to take your guns away. (All 3 candidates have similar positions on gun control, none want to take anyone's guns away) yet both McCain and Clinton have claimed that Obama wants gun control to gun groups, failing to mention that they too favor the exact same position. It's the old style "assume people are too stupid to fact check" politics. (In Hillary's case NYC has a gun ban). Yet somehow she is pro gun? I guess it sounds good, but as I say all 3 are the same on this issue.
If that doesn't work use religion!Always works! Claim your the only true God candidate, portray your opponent as a satanist.
Give us all a break, we are not stupid enough to fall for it.

here are some helpful links (thanks, ybdogsct):

ANIOKLY: "What will stop McCain is his past stand on Amnesty. He is losing California, his home state of Arizona, and probably Texas. That is enough to put his nomination in jeopardy. God forbid Hillary has to run against a scandal free opponent. Woohoo!!"

Terrorist friends! I almost forgot about that! Am I going to have to resurrect your ridiculous list of "charges" again? What was it up to, fourteen points?
1) Obama was "friends" with a member of the Weathermen underground! When he was what, ten?
2) Obama gives "secret" elitist speeches? Which you know all about apparently. You're a spy in the house of love, ani!
Wow, in the face of such well-thought-through and utterly damning political hyperbole how can I help but change my vote!

McCain is a private-property stealing, vet-hating vet, gold-digging ****** hopper who dumped his wife and mother of his three children for a rich bimbo and home wrecker.
McCain flip-flops almost as often as you make a logical fallacy ani. Almost.
He`s a wuzzy sell-out who caved in on torture, taxes, and his own integrity.
We need someone strong who can stand up to our enemies both foreign and domestic. McCain has proven beyond any reasonable doubt he cannot even stand up to the enemies in his own party. McCain is not worthy or ready to be CinC.
