A native Hawaiian group that advocates sovereignty locked the gates of a historic palace Wednesday in downtown Honolulu, saying it would carry out the business of what it considers the legitimate government of the islands.

I had mockingly suggested on a few different threads to Pro-Tibetan Americans that for China to give up Tibet is like the US giving up Hawaii. The difference being that China's claim was far stronger as Tibet has been a part of China for 800 years.
Lo and behold, now it seems some Hawaiians do indeed wish to become free and independent of the United States, and what is the response from those Americans so quick to condemn China in their insincere concern about such liberties?
This story is a day old and thus far only two votes.
What a nation of hypocrites.
