  Cheney is right.

  I expect the nattering nabobs to do everything in their power to make certain history is written differently. However, when the full scope of what was avoided by the Bush administration move into Iraq becomes apparent, the judgment of history will be positive. The irony is that the loony left could hasten that positive historical judgment by succeeding in their efforts to get the U.S. to withdraw from Iraq. I hope and pray, for the sake of the lives of hundreds of thousands of American military and the economic lives of billions around the globe, that the next president stays the course (with whatever minor course corrections become obvious) and that the "what could have been disaster" remains theoretical.

    You have GOT to be kidding.

    If you STILL think that Bush's totally UNJUSTIFIED invasion of Iraq was right, then you are so removed from reality that you must be living a pretty remote, secluded existence. Or, you have become so brainwashed by the spin from FOX News or Rush or Shawn or Glenn that you don't bother to verify ANYTHING they say.

      Sorry Bubba... you, along with so many of your brethren, are the one(s) living and making your judgments based on soundbytes. My understanding of the historical context of this goes way deeper than Fox News, Rush, Sean or any of the other talking heads.

        You may think your understand "goes way deeper".

        But, apparently you don't even believe your OWN government - investigations by the REPUBLICAN controlled Senate in 2005-2006, and a recent conclusion to a long investigation by the Pentagon itself - when they say that all of the justification for invading Iraq was FALSE.

        It appears that your 'understanding' is not very 'deep' at all.
