Disappointed? Upset that your blind hatred of Rupert Murdoch wasn't affirmed? I wonder when the vast majority of Democrat-voting journalists will be fired? Never, of course. Only an idiot thinks there is a vast right-wing controlled media empire out there manipulating content.

You can bet Chris Matthews won't be fired for getting all "tingly" over Obama.

Um...one person being fired doesn't mean anything. She was a PA. A girl who gets coffee and makes sure that that the scripts are followed.

And I don't think anyone was saying that there is some "vast right-wing controlled media empire out there manipulating content." It was one network. Fox News. Period.

They hitched their wagon to Bush and now they don't care because they learned how to shock people without Bush's help.

Now, Hamy, pay close attention ...

"Obviously, you haven't been paying attention or you would realize that Chris Matthews is - as Stephanie Miller aptly once described - a right-wing tool.

"...and as this campaign heads into general election, the conservative bias of corporate media will be even more apparent."

And, there you have it! LOL

At least half the goofs on Propeller claim all media are run by right-wing corporations.

Yes and the other half of goofs are wrong in their thinking, and I use the word loosely.

That's because they are owned by right-wing corporations. But, it isn't some conspiracy. It is a fact.

Understand?

Murdoch owns a lot. Zell now owns a lot. And there are only 4 major companies who control the media now.

Those 4 compnaies are run by conservatives, typically.

See? No conspiracy. Just facts. Fox is the only one of the major news networks who drastically changed news copy or its presentation to warp the story to fit their ideology. That is also a fact.

One example is when they reported that Toe Tapping Senator Craig was a democrat on the news crawl at the bottom of the screen.

No more need be said. That wasn't a mistake. That was manipulation.

Not so libs, not all media is owned and operated by the right wing, but to deny any ownership and influence is naive. The same is true for liberal bias. The bias is usually influenced by the money regardless of which political spectrum owns the media source. Very few media sources today are unbiased. Therefore, many of the reporters and journalists working for them are as biased as their bosses, but there are still a few left that are not, like, in my opinion, Tim Russert.

Do you think that NBC will fire George Stephanopolous? Or will they simply name him to "moderate" another debate?

This firing is certainly unusual. The so-called news channels routinely hire partisan "commentators."

If you are going to rant about media bias then at least get your facts straight!

George Stephanopolous is currently ABC News's Chief Washington Correspondent and the host of ABC's Sunday morning news show This Week and has never worked for NBC.

It's safe to say Stephanopolous voted for Clinton's hubby.

I'm sure that you've been waiting for months for such an opportunity. I hope that you enjoyed correcting me, because it may never happen again.

At last one of your life's dreams has been fulfilled! Good job!

I have been correcting you all along - you just don't have the sense to realize it!

avatar

I know you've been "correcting me all along." But this is notable because it's the first time you've been right!

avatar

Nope only the first time you have publicly admitted that I am right!

I got the feeling that her sin wasn't in voting for McCain. I suspect she was fired for engaging in an unauthorized discussion with him, which could have distracted him from the interview or panel he was about to take part in. I don't think news stations encourage their employees to do that.

What I'll remember is Abrams, MSNBC's, gloating. Like I've said before, I doubt that there are many on this thread that watch or read ANY opposing views than those that mimic their own.

And you would be wrong.

You know I wasn't referring to you, at least I hope you do.

I do not think that folks who read and comment on these threads are SHEEPLE, I think most of us are capable of digesting information and making our own decisions.....

Better late than never, but she is just a scape goat for a much deeper problem. Now, their bias will still be there, just hidden.

Feeding the Republican Loon

---

A shill in the morning

A shill at noon

With bright plastic smiles

They feed the repugnant loon

They report a school killing

Or a despondent mom's grief

Then turn with a giddy smile

And say "How about that weather Keith!"

The Todd or Sean, or whomever

Say's things will brighten up later

Meanwhile the world's sinking

Deeper and deeper into nadir

Doesn't matter to the loon

He's really quite fed

He thanks Bush for a do nothing job

The empty soul, his plastic wife, and his bed

Falls asleep

He'll be ready at the helm tomorrow

To criticize those who disagree- those who think about those who don't eat

Deeply bent in his own denial

He's ever mystified,,, hypnotized,

By that Fox smile.

As an embarrassment to the "fair and balanced" news network, she became a liability.

Roger Ailes must have been beside himself or apoplectic when he was shown the video. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

It's too bad that this intern was fired. I hope she didn't need the job.

I think she just got a lesson - abet a painful one perhaps - about the real world!

Interns typically are not paid.
