"Gallup said Wednesday the reason for the low approval rating is because "rank-and-file Democrats are providing no support cushion for the Democratic-controlled institution."
The Pelosi/Reid Retreat & Surrender Caucus is so flaccidly ineffective that, even with an historically low approval rating, President Bush is still 62% more popular.

Worst Congress EVER!! lol, I get a kick out of it when the libs proclaim Bush the worst president ever, which isn't true, but ignore the completely the lower, much more dismal Congressional ratings.
They thought Dems taking control of Congress would improve things. Quite the opposite happened.

The same poll indicated approval ratings of Bush hover around his record lows, with 29 percent of respondents voicing support for the president....
Wow, congress at a record low, shrub at a record low, and also the first time a POTUS has been below a 50% approval rating for 35 months and we have a cheering crowd here...figures
Did you happen to see that 82% of US citizens believe USA is on the wrong course ????Of course you still have that 28% who want to stay the course, well like they say,,,,you can fool some of the people all the time, but not all the peopla all the time.
Time to wake up don't you think ???

It's interesting how you have accounted for 110% of the American public. It must be a Canadian thing.

well you see we here in Canada have to use two systems, the simple one C and the old world one F, so like in my comment there are two different polls, simple eh!
The 82 % was a statement I heard on tv when they interrupted the hockey game.
And hey BooBoo I am proud of you, you can actually add, big accomplishment for you

This pervasive discontent with politicians is exactly the sentiment that the Obama campaign is hoping to capitalize upon with its "hope and change" themes. Of course, being an "agent of change" is thematic for almost all of those who aspire to public office... Somehow, though, Obama has made that all important connection with his Democratic audience and has established an apparent sincerity with them. They think he's for real...we'll find out if he manages not to stumble on his way to the White House.

The Democrats won another special election yesterday, taking another "safe" Republican seat:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/ar...
A Democrat won the race for a GOP-held congressional seat in northern Mississippi yesterday, leaving the once-dominant House Republicans reeling from their third special-election defeat of the spring.--
The Republicans need to get their act together quick, or they'll get their clocks cleaned in the House regardless of what happens at the top of the ticket.

That is why the Republicans need to come out with statements about keeping the tax cuts, drilling Domestic oil to reduce the price of gas, which will reduce the price of food, and go back to smaller Government, bigger Military, and let the American people decide what they want from Government.

Don't forget that a Conservative Dem, defeated him. Yes, there are still many of them between the two coasts that matter to the Dem Party leadership.

"No if Americans want to win, they have to start pulling together, instead of just doing things the same way all the time"
Tell you what, you can move here and start paying taxes THEN I will give two cents what you think Americans should do.

Democratic Congressional leadership sucks as badly as Bush and the Bushies to whom they continually cave. I'll vote Democratic for my open House and Senate seats, but if I were in Pelosi's district, I'd be voting Sheehan or maybe even Republican.

All the American people will look at is what the Democrats accomplished since all those promises in 06. They did not see them get the war ended, the Republicans impeached, the Healthcare they promised, nothing. Not everyone is suffering from high gas prices. Not everyone's home is in foreclosure, not every one is unemployed, Democrats will get the votes of the pitiful, but they cannot win with those people, and the Eggheads, and Africans according to s Democrat strategist. Yes the Republicans have problems, but all they really have to do is come out, and say look at us, we are not them.

All the Democrats had to do was compromise with Republicans on many of their issues, not the war, or impeachment, but other things, and they didn't want to share the Glory. They are running around claiming 20 seats in the House, and a veto proof Senate, and they are fielding a Presidential candidate that cannot get the blue collar workers, or those typical white voters. Calling them racists won't cut it.
