Well I have to agree that was completely stupid of her.

I don't vote for a persons color or gender. I vote for their abilities and beliefs about America and the constitutuion. About how they feel about shipping our jobs overseas, The illegal alien situation, Our work and economic situations.

If I agree with them on that I vote for them. I've been a hard working white American all my life. I've seen what Reagan, Nixon, Bush and Bush have done. Quite frankly I'm not to pleased with the goofs.

So if Obama can do better I'm all for it.

This Just In:

"Hillary Claims Bosnian Sniper Fire Was Sexist-Motivated, Blaims It For Recent Mis-speech"

Candidate Clinton invented a new term today, calling her recent public speaking gaffs "mis-speech."

"Bush had his Bush-isms, and he got to sit behind the desk for 7 years, plus 1 for not dropping nukes on Iran until December," she said. "I've been shot at by invisible Bosnian snipers, for God's sake! I should be allowed to slide on my own verbal indiscretions. Hell, I've allowed OTHERS to slide on THEIR indiscretions."

When asked whose discretions she was referring to, Senator Clinton called that line of questioning sexist, and complained that she was always asked questions about sniper fire before Mr. Obama.

She then suggested that the heat from the questioning was ruining the line of her pants suit. She then left the kitchen, after yelling at her Secret Service detail to "grab the freakin' bags!"

Reagan and Nixon had extremely effective administrations, particularly with respect to foreign policy. I can see how you grew tired of their success being a Dem.

Reagan's "effectiveness" as a communicator?

Are we talking about the same president who repeatedly gave speeches on carriers at sea, and on military bases at home, telling the tale of great heroes who gave their lives for their country...

Except that later, his handlers realized he was recalling old B-movie film plots?

"60 Minutes" ran a fascinating program at the time, and posed the disturbing question: is it scarier to have a president who lies through his teeth to tell us a great story (even when he knows it's fiction), or is it scarier when a president cannot discern fact from fiction?

Guess after seven years of DropKick-like goose-stepping, we know that sad answer to that question.

Of course, I'm leaving out the whole tragic fiasco where Ronnie was gonna use an uplink to a shuttle crew to push his Star Wars plan, during a State of the Union Address. The crew didn't want to fly. Something about ice on the boosters.

According to phone logs recovered by two enterprising reporters, the White house ordered them to fly (calling the Cape twice right before NASA reversed itself and ordered the Shuttle to launch). Then, after the explosion, the pres' handlers promptly lost the speech he had worked for two weeks to give. Then, the whole rotten bunch lied to the world that all aboard died when the explosion happened, only to bring their recovered bodies (and parts of the crew compartment) back to the Cape in -- of all things -- garbage trucks.

Helluva communicator you're pledging your allegiance to, DropKick.

Drop, I read your comments, and I have to wonder how you manage to feed yourself without wearing a bib!

He was an actor for Christs sake! Of course he was a good speaker. But all you are saying is he was all mouth and no balls! (That pretty much sums up most of the modern day GOP)

Hell, if speaking capability is what you want, lets vote in Burt Reynolds as pres, with James Garner as sec of state!

Your ignorance is overwhelming!

I don't know how you manage to sit up long enough to type this drivel when you're so busy licking DNC boots. Reagan was also Governor of California and President of the Screen Actors Guild before running for President. He had more elected office experience than Obama currently does. No balls...the DNC invented the concept but seeks to perfect it with the next generation of candidates. Stick to sniffing the crotches of Hillary Clinton's pantsuits and leave the political discussions to those of us who aren't complete schills for the DNC.

Reagan was pretty much a disaster in both foreign policy and the economy (where his record on jobs and growth was less than Carter's).

His "star-wars-boondoggle" is now known to have been mainly a kickback program to corrupt defense companies and unnecessary. From Warsaw Pact documents we now know that the Soviets abandoned the weapons race already in the 1960s - hence the number of international treaties in the 1970s. His Iran-Contra venture killed some 300,000 christians in Central America, while propping up corruption and drug dealing.

Perhaps the only wise foreign policy decision made by Reagan was NOT to fight for zionist crimes against humanity in Lebanon. Another area where bushie is even more of a disaster.

Star Wars was brilliant in that it didn't go beyond research but had a demoralizing effect on the Soviet Union. Thanks for resort to Jew baiting. It makes it hard even for Isreal hating Libs to openly side with you.

I voted for her here in NY and I have since regret my vote. I am not a big fan of the Clinton anymore. They were the first to bring race into this election and like a pungent sent it just lingers. I can understand desperation but this went way pass desperation it was down right separatist and irresponsible of her

"Reagan and Nixon had extremely effective administrations, particularly with respect to foreign policy."

Are you freaking serious? They had people indicted for criminal activity. Some went to prison. You are definitely a goofy one there. Your heroes are crooks and bad actors.

Well come to think of it that pretty much sums up the Republican Party in the last 40 years.

Change is coming. Get ready for a bold new day.

Your party of lying two faced tax the middle class and poor so the wealthy get the benefits is heading down the sewer.

BTW I just registered as a Democrat after you idiots put Bush up as a poster boy for president. I was registered as no party for years.

Are you freakin' senile? Bill Clinton was indicted himself. Your heros are socialists and petty dictators. Change is coming for sure because if the Dems get in the White House, it's a sure thing that a Conservative will be the next President. Your party of decieving socialists will be exposed for their big government agenda by those who currently see them as an alternative. Btw, you didn't need to tell me that you were a Lib Democrat.

What the hell do think Bush has been doing?

Man you must be blind in one and can't see out of the other.

This clown has spending money to increase the wealth of ultra rich. He has destroyed the economy with his lazy no rules needed approach.

But hey you are part of the smallest minority. The ones who still cling to the lies of the neocon party of snobbish indifference to the rest of the world.

Socialist hah!! What do you think the government employees enjoy, socialzed medical and retirement paid for by hard working Americans they screw.

Get real!!! Enjoy your fairy tale president who is really more of a horror story.

You must be as senile as you are liberal. For the record, I have never supported the President's inflationary spending. Apparently, you haven't seen the benefits offered to government employees. The premiums, copayments and benefits are no more generous than those offered by private employers.

Nixon was the first president I voted for & if it were not for a silly bulglary he originally knew nothing about to this day he would have to be considered as a top tier president. Not an idealogue like the present day neocons Nixon was an enlightened conservative who did many great things for this nation. To the liberals on this site remember he gave you OSHA & the EPA, to the internationists he opened up China,as a pragmatist he and Kissenger prevented the complete destruction of the enemies of Isral in 1973, and he bought all the troops home from Viet Nam as he promised. Anytime I here anyone badmouth Nixon it sickens me.

lum,

Nixon was the ultimate politician. He made his bones by screwing another GOPer in the Cal Sen race, siding with Joe McCarthy, and pandering to the Red baiting mobs.

When he wasn't bad mouthing Jews, Blacks, and the press he came off as a very astute politician and statesman. He was a very complex individual who let power and the powerful overwhelm him.

To this day I still feel sorry for the man and his family. It's too bad how his political end came. But he often played with those volatile political matches and it finally burnt him. He could have been an extremely great President.

I do agree with everything you stated about Nixon. I embellished his successes, you pointed out the other part of the story. Regardless, my premise simply was that if not for Watergate he would have gone down as a top tier president.

One of the biggest Nixon haters Elizabeth Holtzman of New York tried to build her career on her bombastic flourishes during Watergate. I was estatic when Buckley's brother virtually ended her ambitions by beating her in the senate race a few years later.

Reply

lum,

I remember that. But Bill's brother was a wisp of his brother's wit and intellect. The truth in the pudding is where is he now? D'Amato as Senator from NY tried to fill Jacob Javitz's shoes but could never even tie Javitz's shoelaces.
