((First came your wife's comment about being proud of America for the first time -- conveniently, right after you started winning primaries.))

I have a huge problem with her statements. She is no first lady for the US. She is doing as much damage for Obama as Bill has done for Hillary.

Why do you have a problem with her statement? What she said was how most of the African-Americans, the ones that I know, have said. People are not supposed to feel pride in their country for no good reason. I bet that there were alot of people that felt pride in Nazi Germany. Considering what African-Americans have gone through during our stay here, I agree with her. My question is would he be this popular is he was 100% African-American instead of what racists like Rush Limbaugh would call Halfrican?

There's LOTS to feel pride in our country for!

If you're free, white and over 21, I suppose there is.

You're not free, half your income is owned by the goverment, more when you spend your half. White is now a minority in a large portion of America. 21, your auto insurance treats you like a kid until you're 25.

Oh yeah all you land owners... you are only renting that land as in land tax. When the goverment wants the land back they will take it!!

Sure there is....

If you flip over the rock of American foreign

policy of the past century, this is what crawls out ...

invasions ... bombings ... overthrowing

governments ... suppressing movements

for social change ... assassinating

political leaders ... perverting

elections ... manipulating labor unions ...

manufacturing "news" ... death squads ...

torture ... biological warfare ...

depleted uranium ... drug trafficking ...

mercenaries ...

It's not a pretty picture.

It is enough to give imperialism a bad name.

All the neo-clowns must be so proud.....and blind too.

Merika---luv it or leave it right AG?

I don't know which is more disgraceful, the ones pulling the wool over eyes like yours or the ones allowing the wool to be pulled over their eyes.

Perhaps it is you who would be more comfortable in a country that doesn't allow dessent and opposing points of view.

Remember "They hate us for our freedoms" right?"

sorry, in this country differing opinions are supposed to be allowed... do you have a different sort of country in mind for us ag?

Oh goody it's relieving that domino war, Vietnam all over again. "Love it or leave it"

Why don't all of the "I love to kill Iraqi's in Iraq" bring up Vietnam... like lets go back and do it right this time. Vietnam did become communist isn't that why, We the Goverment killed 50,000 kids to prevent that. We have the money, the technology, we just need more Love it or Leave its to fire it up again!!!

Why should they move to another country? This is America, if you don't like dissent, perhaps it is *you* that should move to another country.

Alpha, Why should they move to another country? If you don't like dissent, perhaps it is you that should move. Here in America there is this little thing called free speech.

"how most of the African-Americans, the ones that I know, have said"

Most African-American are hard working and personally conservative. They have been duped into voting for party that does nothing but hold them down, forgetting that it was REPUBLICANS who broke the DEMOCRATIC filibusters to get the Civil Rights Acts passed.

And then all those dixie-crats who oppose the needed change became the psuedo-conservatives of the Republican party.

Those darn Dixicrats, lynching was "legal" until 62... and a very bluedog president to sign it in. The Republican party became the bad guys after Reagan... even as a democrat I would give a big toe to get another Reagan.

To the shocked Libs, Reagan wanted illegal immigration stopped, and he saved Harley Davidson... you know the kind of bike that Fonda and Hopper rode in Easy Rider!!

Decipher, you've got your presidents mixed up. Jimmy Carter is the one, who with the backing of the ACLU, declared that unless someone was an immediate danger to himself/herself or others then they must be released from the state psychiatric hospitals. Thus the beginning of the "homeless problem" in the USA.

Fact Check - I was living in CA when Raygun closed state mental hospitals and returned mental retards 'to the community'. Saw lots of them on San Jose streets. Brilliant move, guv'nor.

everybody, except for the most mealy-mouthed idealogues, has some liberal sentiments and some conservative sentiments. Ying and Yang.

The issue in this election is that despite the Right and Left labels, neither of the front runners fits into the labels the msm is trying to attach.

Obama, a populist who understands that the last eight years have been about a breakaway from traditional American ideals of freedom, liberty, and accountability. He knows that the last seven plus years have been about transferring wealth from the current and future middle class to the power elite.

McCain, a neocon who believes he is entitled to sit at the throne and keep the mill going despite the damage to country, people, and future prosperity.
