Politics – Sen. Barack Obama's connection to Rev. Jeremiah Wright has dominated the political conversation in recent weeks. But that has blotted out information about Republican nominee John McCain's support from religious leaders who also hold controversial views.
******SARCASM ALERT******
See, it's COMPLETELY different for John McCain to ACTIVELY pursue the endorsement of Hagee and Parsley because just because they have spent their live preaching hatred toward Catholics, Muslims, Planned Parenthood and gays McCain didn't KNOW either of these guys for 20 years.
See, Obama CHOOSE not to leave the chuch of Rev. Wright which is why he's SOOOOO bad.

Yes it's slimey and patronizing, but that's what all politicians have done since the Romans. McCain got Hagee and Parsley's endorsement for political expediency. He's not a member of either congregation and more than likely doesn't believe in their crap. It's mutual back-scratching.
On the other hand, Obama didn't remain a member of Rev. Wright's church for 20 years just so he could garner the "black liberation theology" vote which is a tiny fraction of the total black vote. He was there because he believed what Rev. Wright and the curch were saying.

Here's an idea.....let's say that EVERY sermon that Rev. Wright gave said the SAME thing that those 40 sec we've heard over and over.
And let's say that Senator Obama sat in on EVERY one and listened. Now, ALL of the people who are on Obama's back are NOT saying that he believes those things in fact there is NOTHING in Obama's words or actions to EVER suggest that he DOES support those views. So the reason MOST people are upset is because he stayed and didn't leave.
Now I'd like to ask ALL of Christians....how many of you have someone who YOU have tried to 'enlighten' for YEARS? How many of you have someone you know that has a 'twisted' view of GOD or (in your opinion) a COMPLETELY FALSE view of GOD?
Let's say, just for argument, that Obama has spent the past 20 years PROJECTING his view of GOD to Rev. Wright every chance he got. Isn't that EXACTLY what Jesus would do?
Let's not forget that his first wife waited 8 long years for him while he was a prisoner of war. Shortly after returning, he left her for a younger, richer woman. Then, there was the lobbyist affair. Oh, and let's not forget that he has changedwhatever he could and gone whichever direction he needed to to get more power. John Kerry even considered him as a possible VP candidate when her ran for office. Now, he is a conservative? I am not being biased or leaning a direction. These are just the facts.
McCain has taken $69,100 from the same Swiftboaters that once attacked him and he used to disdain. So much for that.

The irony of it all is that McCain publicly deplored the Swift Boat ads back in 2004, saying they were reminiscent of the smear campaigns launched against him during his initial White House run in 2000.
"It was the same kind of deal that was pulled on me," said the Senator.
Not willing to let the irony go unnoticed, Kerry lashed out at McCain, on Monday, for using the same smear merchant he once decried.
